About Dansby
I am a graduate of Cal Poly Ponoma University with a BA degree in voice. I have 20+ year experience teaching voice and piano. Building people is my passion and commitment. My students learn by doing and I love the growth each student takes from their lessons as well as their performances. I am a working artist in the music field as a vocalist, conductor, and motivating speaker.

*** Lesson Details ***
Students in a 30min, 45min, or 60min lesson will experience technique which will be translated to songs that will give students a great opportunity to put the technique they learn and practiced to good use. In 3 to 6 months of lessons students will begin to see themselves growing and getting more control of their instrument, more confident, and wanting to start performing what they are learning.

*** Studio Equipment ***
The teacher's
home studio is in a room with a piano and musical books. The room is large with a grand piano and keyboard.

*** Travel Equipment ***
Students need to provide piano though I am willing to work with students in getting equipment.

*** Specialties ***
In voice I have used the Alexander tech.

Dansby was a true professional!! As anybody would be... We were a bit nervous but as soon as we met Dansby we were set us at ease, he was polite collected and we got down to work immediately. He kept the focus on my daughter but also gave us our respect as parents. Before all this went down my daughter was very adamant about wanting to have a female instructor because she felt that a woman would understand her better as an artist but dansby pushed all that aside with his knowledge, experience and demeanor. I'm so glad we did! She was won over by the end of the lesson and feels as if Dansby is exactly what she needs I'm so grateful and we look forward to our next lesson with her new instructor.

I have been taking lessons with Mr. Dansby for one year. Before I started taking singing lessons, I did not know anything about singing. Whenever I would try to sing, I would be ridiculed or put down and it really was a deterrent for me to try and sing. Until I started taking lessons with Mr. Dansby. Initially I thought I would be taking lessons for about 6 months because I thought I wouldn't be good at it. However after sticking with it, I started to enjoy singing because of the way Mr. Dansby teaches.

Mr. Dansby teaches in a manner that you can relate. His teaching methods are not like usual musical teachings with scales and octaves. He uses nursery rhymes and popular themes like wedding march or star wars theme to get you used to the notes and then he slowly fills in the details from there.

Mr. Dansby is a great instructor and I would recommend him to anyone who is interested in singing. He is a relatable, knowledgeable, and accommodating instructor. He works with you to teach you a skill that you could enjoy for the rest of your life.

About Vic
My musical journey has taken me to some interesting places, challenged and motivated me to keep growing as a musician and teacher.....It hasn't always been easy and the challenges I faced as a professional musician and educator provided the foundation for my Book "Techniques In Applied Theory". With students' goals as the focus, all elements of music are taught in relation to their likes and dislikes. There's a lesson behind every Song. I like to think of myself as a "Tour Guide", pointing out the highlights as we go. I have three jobs: imparting new information and the lesser mentioned "Trainer" and "Mentor". Not every student is the same nor do they have the same needs. In that respect it's a Custom Lesson Program designed to get them where they want to go.

5 stars for Vic. Vic is a talented, knowledgeable and patient teacher. I have been taking lessons from him for about 8 years. I have learned so much. I would have never been able to find this information on my own. He has coached me with guitar, keyboard, drums and theory. What I have learned has pushed my musical abilities forward and added confidence and a stronger desire to practice and push myself knowing "I can". Thanks Vic....I'll be around for 8 more years to take advantage of all you have to offer!

About Eric
Hi! I'm Eric, a Saxophonist, Composer, Singer, and Teacher that was born and raised in Southern California. I've been playing the saxophone for over ten years now, writing music for as long as I can remember, and singing since I was in elementary school. I play for a variety of groups in Los Angeles, and sometimes perform in L.A. and surrounding areas at venues such as the LightHouse, Saint Rocke, Avalon, and the Baked Potato.

I keep my lessons fun, efficient, and applicable. I give students assignments to work on, not only so they don't forget what we talk about, but also so they can also expand upon the concepts given in lessons, (which familiarizes them more with the information). I look forward to helping you unlock your potential!

About olivia
I am currently a student at California State University San Bernardino, and I'm going to graduate this year with a Bachelors in music, with a concentration in vocal performance. My goal as a singer is primarily to perform, as I've been doing it my whole life and it has been my passion since I can remember. While I've studied classical music at school, I sing many genres. I would like to teach lessons to share what I have learned, because I can help singers achieve a good foundation for good singing. As a singer it's important to understand breathing and technique so as not to make yourself tired or even cause damage within the vocal chords.
My experience as a performer the past few years has been through school. I have been in many productions within opera theatre as well as had roles in musical theatre. I was the female lead in "Don Pa
squale" in 2016, as Norina, and sang the lead in "Monkey See Monkey Do" as Maria. I played Alba in "La Curandera" in 2015, and Cinderella in "Into the Woods" that same year. I have sung with the vocal jazz ensemble as well as the chamber singers at CSUSB for about four years. While I was very involved in performing through Cal State, I also enjoyed singing before I decided to further my education in college. At a very young age I was involved in music and entered many talent shows and competitions. I was in the televised series "American Juniors" when I was about nine. And won the Inland Empire talent search when I was around 12 years old. In 2008 I sung for the Blue Jay Jazz festival accompanied by the Carl Saunders Sextet, and the same year at the Lake Arrowhead film festival hosted by Gloria Loring. I received a scholarship from the Blue Jay Jazz foundation and have used it to further my music career. I have also sung a number of times as a guest artist at the L.A. African American museum, and for the L. A. Walk-a-thon. have loved singing, and am continuing my career when I graduate as I would like to continue my education and experience, as well as help other singers improve their teqhnique and musicianship skills, as well as develop their own unique sound.
