Cello Lessons in Rancho Bernardo. Amazing Teachers.

Together we will learn the beginning essentials to playing the cello and reading cello music. I focus on good technique from the beginning so a student should expect to spend a good amount of time in lessons on technique exercises and posture checks. We will also learn music based on the student's experience.

Playing Cello is challenging and the enjoyment is extreme. That's why many people are ready to go through this tough way in hope of being able to master this magic instrument. I have played Cello for 20 years and I cannot imagine to live without this instrument. In this course I'll try to help you to go through an academic way of playing and ease the learning of the instrument. I'll use different books in this course. We'll play scales, arpeggios and lots of small pieces out of different resources. You may be able to learn many instruments on your own, but Cello is absolutely not one of them.

I teach cello from beginning to lower stage of intermediate level. I make it fun and enjoyable to learn songs and play them with high level of expression, musicality and strong vibrato. In order to achieve those goals, I work with you patiently to play scales, arpeggios, etudes and songs from different sources, among them Suzuki books.

I have played in a variety of musicals and various college orchestras and chamber groups. Because of my approach to music I don't consider classical my forte but I can still teach any student cellist a great amount about beginning to advanced playing in any style - including classical.

I am also comfortable playing a variety of styles on the cello, namely jazz.

My name is Naza. I have been playing cello for 30 years - I started practicing at age 8 at a music in school in Kyrgyzstan. I then graduated from the National Kyrgyz Conservatory and continued my studies at Moscow Conservatory under Maria Tchaikovskaya. I've performed internationally in Russia, Germany, Kyrgyzstan,and the USA.

I've been a member of the Skokie Valley Symphony and Highland Park Strings. I currently teach in my private studio in Chicago area and have been doing so for the past 8 years.

I love to teach this beautiful instrument and strongly believe that everyone has he potential to learn to play it at any age! The art of music makes us better people and more in tune with the world - it heals our souls and has the power to bring us all together. I have taught cello for many years to different ages, needs, and goals in music, from enjoying music to prepare auditions and a professional career. I enjoy sharing my passion for cello playing. In addition to my teaching in private studio, public and private schools, colleges and universities, I’m a concert cellist with experience performing as soloist, chamber musician and orchestral player, I empathize with students problems to solve and the art of interpretation, living music to the highest levels , I was taught by great artists.
