Aiden is a wonderful instructor. He taught my 8 year old son beginners guitar. He is a knowledgeable and skilled guitar player. He is patient, kind, and flexible. I am happy with the progress that my son has made with the lessons we've had so far. From knowing nothing at all, my son understands the basics of guitar playing and can play a tune comfortably. Thank you Aiden. We recommend him to those who have kids and are looking for a great instructor.

Aiden has been a great guitar teacher and has helped me improve considerably over my first few months with him. I've spent the last 20 years sort of knowing how to play guitar, but I was self taught and never really could figure out how to progress beyond a few chords. Aiden has provided me with the structure I need to get continually better. He has been especially attentive and helpful at correcting and improving my technique. He's always willing to work on what I find interesting or come up with something to guide me. I also really appreciate his laid-back teaching style.

He’s open in whatever music you feel comfortable to play with. He adapted to your needs and he knows how far you can go. He is an expert in what he does! You’re the best Aidan! Every student is unique, so I will tailor the lessons to you and make it fun! I'm passing on to you the training I received from the very best master teachers of the violin. Stringed instruments are challenging, but I believe in enjoying making music at every level, while establishing a strong foundation in good technique. For learning fundamentals of music theory and ear training, we will play various rhythm and improvisational games. I have extensive background in European classical music, and I've also done quite a bit of improvisation, some fiddling, and electric violin and viola. Whether you want to be the next Joshua Bell or the next Lindsey Stirling, I can help you improve your playing. I will help you sing, dance and tell a story through your violin or viola.

About Gloria

Born into a musical family in 1966, I have extensive performance experience as a classical violinist and violist, and I've been composing my own music since 2000. I am very grateful to have studied with some of the finest teachers of violin, viola and chamber music, and I graduated in 1990 from th

Gloria has been a wonderful and inspiring teacher over a period of very formative years for me as a violinist. We first worked together for all 4 years of my undergraduate violin performance degree at Mills College from 2010-14, and Gloria helped me develop a lasting appreciation for listening deeply and developing focus for small details. We worked together on everything from solo Bach and Hindemith sonatas to concertos, chamber music, and orchestral excerpts. She has been a lasting influence in my life as a musician, and I will continue to return for musical and creative advice over the years even when I live far away.

I like teaching interactively. I guide students to think not just about how, but also about why. Students benefit the most from self-teaching, after all, the teacher is not with the student 100% of the time.

About Jay

I’m a doctoral violinist currently studying at James Madison University. I love teaching and have a lot of teaching experience. I also perform a lot as an ensemble player. I’ve served leadership positions at various symphony/opera/musical orchestras.

I recently graduated from the Shenandoah Conservatory of Music where I had special emphasis on lead trumpet in a bigband setting. In my lessons, well be focusing on the techniques I have developed over the past few years in range and endurance. All ages are welcome as you can never start too early unlocking the true potential of the trumpet.

About Michael

I am a recent graduate of shenandoah conservatory where I spent my time focusing on the abilities needed to become a lead trumpet player. Durring my time there I had the honor of working with members of the nations Millitary jazz ensembles including: The Army Blues, The Navy Commodores, and The Air

Michael was a great instructor for my 11 year old son. We decided to lake lessons after playing a few years with instruction from Dad. He was ready for a new challenge and probably a new instructor. We asked Mike to give him some Jazz lessons. It was so fun listening to them play together almost immediately. Michael is very patient as a teacher and made it fun for my son. We would still be taking lessons today if we lived in the same state. I highly recommend Michael as an instructor for any level of student.

"James has been teaching piano to our son for the last several months. Our son LOVES his lessons! James has been great at personalizing the experience to styles our son enjoys while also challening him to progress and try new things. It's been so refreshing to have music lessons that our son looks forward to instead of lessons that he complains about.

James has also been flexible to help us find time slots that mesh with our busy travel schedule.

We wholeheartedly recommend James V!"

"One of the best decisions i've made was selecting Stephanie to be my 10 year old daughters instructor. Having no background or instructional knowledge in singing Stephanie emphasized the importance of the preliminary stages of singing. This was all new to my daughter, and Stephanie made it especially comfortable for her. We've tried other stuff like sports, cheerleading, etc but nothing grabbed her attention. She had no problem getting ready for singing lessons though! She enjoyed it very much, thank you Stephanie!"

Secret Recipe for Vocal Health Right Here!

Just kidding.  There is no secret recipe.  Really, the best and most basic way to keep your voice in shape is to hydrate.  Water is key to a great singing voice.  So you should definitely keep some water around while you’re singing right?  That’ll keep you perfectly hydrated!  Not quite.  Its good to have water around when you sing, but it won’t actually reach your vocal folds.  Whatever you drank about two hours ago is what is really doing all the work.  So try to drink at least …
