I'm Ahmad a very enthusiastic musician. I started out teaching myself guitar at the age of 12. I moved to the U.S. in 2001 and studied music for 15 years receiving my B.M. and M.M in music and audio production at San Francisco State University. I then moved to Los Angeles then studied and trained with John Mayer, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, George Lynch and many others. I have performed hundreds of concerts in the U.S. as well in Europe and the Middle East with Artists such as Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, Guns N Roses, Michael Angelo Batio, Ratt, Sammy Hagar, Dokken and many others. I ranked #1 in the Slash Guitar Center competition. I was in the "list of top 5 guitar players ever" according to The Examiner, also picked as one of the best guitarists of 2013 and 2014 consecutively in the Rockwell UnScene magazine, and ranked 3rd in the Steve Vai Sam Ash Best in Shred competition.

If you want to spend the least amount of money on guitar lessons, I would encourage you to go learn from some college kid, as you will spend $80 on one or two lessons and then just give up. If you want to actually learn how to play guitar, come see Ahmad.
I can't recommend Ahmad highly enough - He's an absolute pleasure to work with. He's friendly, considerate, and an amazing guitar teacher. Since starting guitar lessons with Ahmad my playing has risen to a new level and my enjoyment of guitar in general his increased exponentially. I find myself always looking forward to my lessons!
Ahmad is extremely organized. He has folders full of exercises for every topic imaginable. His exercises are clearly written with specifics on how to effectively practice them, and they progress in an incremental and logical fashion. This level of organization allows you to get the most out of your time with Ahmad. He can quickly retrieve exercises for a topic, without having to stop and think, or waste time on transcription.
I have a demanding schedule which only allows me time for lessons once a month. Even at such a low frequency, I leave every lesson with more than enough material to keep me busy. Ahmad has been very flexible working with me and changes that arise in my schedule. On top of all of this, Ahmad is a genuinely pleasant person to spend time with and I really look forward to our time together. For me, I was an intermediate player looking to get to the next step. But I'm confident that Ahmad could accelerate anyone's playing at any level.

I have taught piano off and on since I was a teenager and consecutively for the past six years. I enjoy children ages 5 and up, beginners and intermediates, and beginning adults. I choose the curriculum according to the student's age, ability, learning style and choice. My primary goal is for the students to have a positive experience with piano and to look forward to coming each week so that they will want to continue piano or another instrument in the future. I have a lot of incentives for the students and experience much success in this area. I charge very low fees as some clients are unsure of their ability to learn at first. I am very easy-going, flexible, patient and non-judgmental, and I love what I do.
I live on the west side of the valley and teach in my home. It is a warm, open, family-oriented environment and I welcome siblings to come and play with toys or read while the other is in the lesson. We have a recital at the end of the school year, held in my home ...
I have taught many different kinds of subjects, eg., piano, ESL, Drug and Alcohol Education, and foster care parenting, in the past. Mostly, though, I have taught piano and ESL, my first and greatest loves, starting in the 70's and 80's. I develop special relationships with all of my students,

I truly enjoy teaching. I've taught in the public school classroom for 11 years. Teaching music is so so much FUN! And it should be fun for the students to learn. When I'm teaching I tell all my students that if they don't enjoy and smile about something, then we need to change something.

I am grateful for Mr. Keats as my piano teacher. He does an excellent job at teaching any style of music that I want to cover; he especially does well at explaining and is super understanding for teaching at whatever pace that you s"
I took Serena's lessons via skype and I wasn't sure what it would be like at first, but I loved the experience. I didn't even have to leave my house for voice classes. I really liked her because she really does try to help you out and makes the experience relaxing and fun. She has been in plenty of musicals herself and has lots of experience. I would definitely recommend her!!"
On a more personal note, a bit of how I met Cândida. I first started playing piano a long time ago but, after a couple of years, quit and never tried again. I had been willing to get back to classes for a while but hesitated several times. Cândida played a central role in encouraging me to do that and making me comfortable in this new beginning. Our connection was immediate and I have been taking lessons with her since then. During this time, it has also been very inspiring to learn from such a young yet experienced musician. Her method is very practical: although it is naturally easier to interact in in-presence, her Skype lessons really work. She has also been very flexible with regards to schedule. And, most importantly, always welcomes you to class with a bright Brazilian smile.
Again, could not recommend her more! Enjoy!"

Every singer should have a few traditional and contemporary acapella songs under their belt. Many times, singers are required to sing acapella at auditions - without an accompanist or background track. Music directors often ask singers to sing acapella in order to hear and test their musicality and stamina. (Acapella singing requires that these skills be sharp!) It also shows that you’re able to be a leader, and that you're comfortable having the spotlight on you as a solo singer. I …
