Tim is a great teacher and patient with my daughter. She really enjoys her lessons with Tim and they have a good rapport during class.

Tim is an excellent and attentive instructor. He does a great job paying attention to the details of your singing and gives helpful exercises to gain control and expand your range. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we were able to continue our lessons virtually via Zoom, which worked surprisingly well and I would recommend in general if you couldn’t make a lesson in person. Highly recommended!

Even though guitar is my major instrument, I had to play piano all through college as part of my music degree. Therefore, I can help someone learn to play the piano from beginning to intermediate level.

About Robert

Robert began playing guitar in Houston, Texas at the age of 12. It was not long before he began playing in bands and played his first professional gig at age 17. Robert performed in and around the Houston area for five years before deciding to study music on the college level. He attended the Un

Robert is very nice and polite. I think the lesson was sufficient for the first lesson. He gave me homework to work on the D, G, and C chords. We went over the right hand numbering PIMA. I need to determine what my goals are in playing the guitar.

I am very happy with my guitar lesson with Mr. Calva. He is very knowledgeable and very patient. He found out my musical background and goals. He used that to structure my lessons today. He then gave me homework, tips, and short term goals. I am super pleased with his style of teaching. By the way, I am 50 years young...

Students have to practice every day at home.
I teach you in my studio how to practice at home.
I have taken piano lessons before but nobody has ever explained the music terms to me like Mr. Miron has done in the last month I've been taking lessons with him. I can honestly say that after every lesson I've learned something new. Mr.Miron is very patience and encourages you when things get a little difficult. His lessons are fun and full of new content each time. The book he uses to teach is easy to understand and includes work sheets throughout to help you review the content. He studio is always clean and organized.

Luis is a humble, patient and compassionate instructor. He displays a genuine love for teaching and is clearly committed to his students success. He is your cheerleader-of-sorts. Meaning, when you feel flustered with yourself he's the one who keeps a positive attitude and puts your mind back into that "I can do this" thinking pattern. I'm confident that anyone who enlists the help of this outstanding instructor will surely be happy with his work.

My 8 year old daughter has been studying piano for the past 2 months, he's flexible with timing and very patient with my child, she has learned more than I expected. I put her in his class because I heard that piano helps progress children's mind in mathimatics and other subjects and she has actually done better in her classes ever since she started.
Cristina
I took classical guitar first then piano because I got my nails done. Luis is a very patient teacher and advances his lessons according to your pace. He not only encourages you to continue the classes, but pushes you to practice at home atleast 30 minutes to work out the fingering in guitar and the hand placements for piano. I've been with him for 4 months and planning to continue, he has always kept his home clean and his work space organized. Luis offers in Spanish and English and has been very patient with my frustration when I don't get things right.

My goal as a teacher is to make students successful in their goals. I work with a variety of people; some of them study music for personal enjoyment and others for their musical career. Everyone responds differently to music, that is why I prepare special lessons for each student. It is important that my students enjoy what they are playing and for that reason I have a variety of repertoire that they can choose from.
From a lot of experience with beginner piano students, both young and adults, I have been able to find a regimen of piano teaching that combines time efficiency with fun. As the lessons continue, I slowly add new tools to each weekly lesson that are exiting and interesting. While working with intermediate to advanced students, I have had coached them to apply and get accepted into some of the top Universities and Conservatories in the country. My students, beginner intermediate and advanced levels, have been awarded for their performances and activities in schools and ...

"My 9-year-old daughter has been taking piano lessons with Andy for about a year and a half. When she started, she was brand new to music lessons and had never even tried to play an instrument- now she reads notes, plays a wide variety of songs, and has a whole new appreciation for music! Andy keeps my daughter motivated, engaged, and excited to learn by really tailoring his instruction to her interests and needs. Excellent piano teacher, thank you Andy!!"

"Excellent and fun piano lessons

I came to Jesse haven lapsed from piano for over 10 years, and looking to get back into music. He provided a great mix of flexibility in what we would play, and giving me the technical basics of playing. An added bonus was the get-togethers with other students when we were able to play together, very fun."

What is a Piano Fake Book?

You walk into your sheet music store and start browsing. You look at the method books, technique books, repertoire… and then your eyes see something else. You pick it up and see it is called a "fake book." An odd name for a real book. You open it up and see that it contains music. So what exactly is it? A piano fake book allows you to read and play music on your piano. But unlike your typical books, which contain the score as written by the composer or arranger, a fake book is more of a …
