Make your paintings come to life with the help of a professional painter

I am a fine artist, and I am an art lover! I have taught art to kids and adults of all levels, and I have studied art for many years. I love drawing and painting, going to museums, talking about art, and participating in group art shows. I draw and paint from life every day. I can help you to make your drawings more life-like, improve your color sense, or paint a scene that you picture in your imagination.

I am an art lover. I paint and like to illustrate books for my niece and nephews. I love teaching all ages, especially kids. I used to be a teaching assistant for undergraduate-level art students. Recently, I have been teaching art classes and in-studio lessons with grade school aged kids. I am especially good at guiding people through drawing and painting from life. I have lots of examples of my art I will provide. I have also studied art theory and history, and I am a good writer. I'm open to doing different sorts of lessons, depending on what your learning style is. I can guide you in a step-by-step process with a live demonstration, or I can look at your artwork and critique it for you. If you are just starting out as an artist, I can give you an introduction to the medium you're going to be working with. Also, I can suggest all kinds of artists for you to look at and exercises for you to try.

I just finished my first painting class with Tabitha as a beginner. She is an excellent teacher with immense patience. She encourages a lot and gives a better understanding of colors, textures. It has been a very knowledgeable first class.

    Children's Art Teacher

    Jun, 2014 - Present

    KidzWorkshop II

Before moving for graduate school, I taught for a year with an advanced academic art studio for kids. Here, kids learn skills to make work that they would add to their portfolios for college applications. I also hosted art birthday parties, and taught painting summer camps and after-school painting workshops. Now, I work at this art studio as my primary job. I teach in the studio, and also represent our studio when I go to different schools to do after-school art lessons. My students work mostly with graphite, oil pastels, watercolor, acrylics, and charcoal. They also experiment with various kinds of recycled sculptures, clay, and other 3D projects.

    Art Teacher

    Jul, 2017 - Jul, 2018

    Northeast Family YMCA

I was the official art teacher for the Y summer camp, and for the school year, I was the art teacher for the YMCA's after-school program, which operates in three elementary schools. I teach a variety of mediums, and I usually listen to what the kids want to make, and I help them to do that better. We have a lot of fun.

The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts

I assisted with teaching three undergraduate art classes, including Drawing, Sculpture, and Illustration. I was also the assistant to the after-school high school art program at PAFA, for the spring of 2017.
