I have been a practicing visual artist for the past decade and have shown work in the Bay Area, Washington and Colorado. My unique style and approach is a combination of being both self taught and schooled.
I think the exploration of abstract art is one of the most compelling and rewarding creative endeavors as it gives us pure creative freedom and enables us to explore all means of technique and subject matter to find our own unique voice. We all have one, sometimes we just have to do a little excavating :)

I love looking at art, reading about art and making art!
Art heals and the creation of it is I believe, empowering. My current practice is an expanding body of drawn and painted works that explore form through geometric, abstract, sculptural and musical languages.
From an early age, I grew up learning about art by watching my mother create. I loved the freedom and challenge that it provided me when I was young and over time have come to evolve and develop my own practice and language as an adult. In addition to art I am a Violist, Sound Designer and Composer and feel very strongly that the work I do visually has deep roots in sound and music.

Ollie is an excellent, supportive, and friendly teacher! This is my first time using TakeLessons, and I enjoyed my time spent with Ollie. He was able to give me technical guidance, but also allowed me to play around. I appreciate that he was able to customize my lessons with my personal goals, and even suggest local art I may be interested in. I booked a 1 hour session, and the time flew by! He also allows you to use his brushes and paints the first session, and then gives recommendations for paints/brushes based on your skill level and budget. Looking forward to booking my next lesson. Highly recommend.Show More
