Hello! My name is Natalia, and I'm a classically trained artist and architect. I studied for six years at the National University of Construction and Architecture in Kharkiv, Ukraine. I was fortunate during this time to also have been mentored by the famous Ukrainian artist, Vitaliy Kulikov. I have lived in New York City since 2010, and during this time I have worked as a professional portrait artist. I have also volunteered as a guest artist in my son's elementary school for five years, where I produced unique artworks in collaboration with students for school auctions and explored different artists and art styles. In my one-on-one classes you will have the opportunity to study drawing fundamentals, figure drawing, portrait, still life, interior and perspective drawing. For the youngest students lessons could be based on favorite books, seasons or holidays. My favorite media includes pensil, graphite, charcoal and oil pastel. We can focus on a range of techniques depending upon your specific interest. Drawing is a process without the end. One can always improve with guidance and practice or explore proven methods as a beginner. I have extensive experience with kids, teens and adults. I can also assist with portfolio development for middle schoolers who are passionate about art and need more structure and skills for high school coursework.
