    About Maryam A.

Today's the day to take the step to a more confidently creative you! Together we will work together to enjoy improving hands on art skills through quirky and fun lessons for the young and young at heart. Six years ago, after becoming a school counselor, my love of creating art kept singing to me. It wasn't long before I realized I could combine my counseling skills and art skills by becoming an effective kindergarten through 8th grade Art and Performance Art Teacher, not only creatively but by building excellent rapport with my students as well. Tapping into the arts and coaching skills, I am able to draw out beautiful artwork from my students by helping them build self-confidence by trying new things. My encouraging and accepting atmosphere creates a comfortable place for students to take risks without fear and produce end products they are proud of. So come along with me as we go on an artistic adventure of self discovery while working with a variety of artistic mediums.
