Whether you want to shoot amazing portraits, capture candid moments with your friends, or showcase the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, photographic knowledge is universal. It's all about the lighting, the composition, and the moment.
Operating the camera is secondary and my goal in teaching is to demystify the technicalities of "taking a photograph" so you can focus on all of the creative decisions involved in "making a photograph."

I've been a film and documentary filmmaker since 2006 and have shot projects in over 15 countries around the world. As a cinematographer and editor, I have credits on many films, documentaries and commercials. As a director, I have a body of music video work that has been premiered on NPR, Paste Magazine, and Billboard.
I've held just about every job there is to have on a film set and would love to share that knowledge with you!
