I am a professional artist who loves inspiring and evoking positive change through necessary challenges! I received art degrees from Gordon State College, Valdosta State University, Georgia College and State University and Piedmont University! Over the past six years, I have had the wonderful opportunity to instruct a diverse group of students, and as a result, I have developed highly effective teaching techniques and instructional methods, which have allowed me to educate all styles of learners and foster a fun and engaging learning environment that effectively teaches art appreciation, promotes creativity, and encourages growing independence. One of my greatest strengths as an educator is meeting each student’s unique needs by developing a personal understanding of each one of them. I achieve this by seeing and assessing the students as individuals, and tailoring lesson plans to accommodate multiple intelligences. Furthermore, I offer one-on-one and additional outside support through resources to increase student motivation, awareness, and understanding of the arts, while implementing interdisciplinary-based lessons involving social studies, science, math, language arts, and multiculturalism. I have taught over 2500 students as well as prepared them to compete nationally in contest such as the Doodle for Google, and the National Arts Program. I have helped students turned stick figures into beautiful portraits, cartoons, anime and or figurative drawings.
