Hi, my name is Jordin and I am an art student at the University of North Texas. My major is New Media art where I use video and other technologies to create pieces of art. I chose this major because I want to work in stop motion film and make my own drawings and characters I sculpt come to life. I primarily started drawing since I could hold a crayon and I have been working in all fields of art ever since! I love painting, sculpting, and even anime/manga!
I have taught at art studios and non-profit organizations, but I have found private lessons is my favorite way to get by during college because I love meeting amazing people and inspiring others to make art. I believe in learning the basics and key concepts/definitions in art when beginning, and then using those learned skills to create wonderful expressions of art. Don't be shy or worried about your level of art, and I hope I can teach you the skills you need to enjoy yourself while making art!
Teach private lessons including helping future art students put together their art portfolio for entering art schools/college.
Developed my own weekly summer art lessons depending on the camps theme. Taught many different classes including bookmaking and acrylic painting.
Taught kids a variety of art skills including prismacolors, watercolor, beginner drawing, and advanced drawing.
She made my daughter very comfortable, getting to know her likes and dislikes, introduced her her to paper weight and line weights, drawing from shapes a really solid foundation. Looking forward to the next lesson.
