Thank you for reading my profile! I was born in the Netherlands and moved to Israel at a young age. In the absorption center I picked up English. Ever since I kept perfecting my Hebrew, English, and Dutch, have written extensively and edited periodicals in the three languages I speak. As a lifelong learner, I hold graduate degrees in Geography and Environmental Development and in Public Policy Studies. I am also certified as a Six Sigma Green Belt and a Bilingual Education Teacher. During the 1990s and 2000s I taught IT, statistics, and social sciences and engaged in research at universities and colleges in the domains of transportation, game theory, and political geography, including at the University of Chicago. In between, I worked seven years in educational management at the City of Tel Aviv-Yafo. From 2007 to 2013 I taught Hebrew, Judaism, and Israel Studies in informal education programs and subbed in K-12. In the early 1990s, 2000s, and the second half of 2013 I worked in IT. In the 2010s I have been marketing international educational programs, tutored mostly Hebrew and Dutch, taught mostly Microsoft Office, and proctored for an Israeli university. In August 2016 I dropped most of these for an IT and languages research position in Austin, TX. I still market educational programs and take on an occasional student. Since the millennium year I'm married to Tamar, who teaches Hebrew, music, math, and computer programming. We raise a son and daughter.
