I'm Emily, I am an enthusiastic, experienced, patient, encouraging and innovative artist and teacher, who loves to help others find themselves and grow through art.
I have my Master of Arts in Teaching and Bachelor of Fine Arts. I am a certified art and special education k-12 teach and am certified to teach any Studio art college level course. I have years of experience working with students of all ages and am experienced with students with special needs. I have taught art at Kemper Museum of Contemporary art, am currently teaching high school art, making art, and privately teaching art lessons.
I teach a variety of art classes to a wide variety of students. I wanted to open my doors to my studio and offer art lessons to children and adults who may be first starting in art all the way to wanting college level art classes. I also believe that art can be a very healing and important experience for many people. If you are interested in art or have a child who is, please do not hesitate to ask me any questions you may have.
I am teaching students ages 13-19 Art Foundations, Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, and AP college credit 2D Studio Art
I design and teach innovative art and craft lessons at the Jacomo Camp as the Art Specialist. I work with children ages 6-12.
I designed and taught lesson plans for students ages 4-12 at the Kemper Art Museum. Art history and basic skills and projects were focused on.
