Taught students from my home as well as going to students home
Mar, 2008 - PresentDonnas Fine Art and Design
Worked from my home teaching students roughly ages were middle school age as well as adults. Some days I would travel to their homes since the parents schedule couldn't bring them to me. I would teach basic primary colors, how to hold brushes and pencils in a loose way so they felt comfortable just painting or drawing, the way I was taught in art school. I would use books but students very young were better just doing it with them. Older students were given opportunities to pick how they wanted to learn, either with books or my techniques. I always gave art lessons while attending school, for the local schools as a guest teacher. Example: bringing in paintings from artist Andrew Wyeth and examining his techniques, the history behind him and his medium that was used a lot. I will also give my students some history behind their favorite artist and we can explore their techniques also. I have always gone over every medium in art if that is desired. At holiday times I will give the student the opportunity to create a project for a loved one, since I started that way too.
Designer for all drawings, paintings and concept boards
Mar, 1997 - Aug, 2000Hoboken Floors, Inc.
Hoboken Floors was the largest distributor of all hard surfaces: wood, ceramic, porcelain, marble and natural marble. My job was to design for clients home and showroom. As well as to present all concept boards as to how the final area/showroom would look like in my paintings and drawings of the rooms as traditional art. These were done by hand before computer apps were used.
