Want to build the confidence to draw anything you can imagine? I am an experienced 26 year old teacher. I began teaching drawing to children ages 6-12 when I was in high school. In the 10 years since then, I have learned so much and studied with some amazing teachers myself. Welcoming students of all levels and all ages, from beginners to more advanced, I can help you learn to draw the world from direct observation and use the skills you will gain to take your artwork in whatever direction you would like. 

In class we will study past and present artwork, explore simple geometric shapes found throughout the natural and human made world, describe the way light and shadow illuminate form, and experiment with composition and design. I love drawing and painting and do so constantly. I have been making drawings since I was a kid and I am currently in my second year studying at the Grand Central Atelier in Queens, NY. I would like to share my knowledge and curiosity for the world with new students. Through a series of simple and fun exercises involving visual problem solving, observation, research, and analysis, I can help you learn to draw the world as you see and imagine it.
