My name is Chris and I am eager to help you achieve your art goals using customized plans. I absolutely LOVE my job and feel blessed that I get to teach and create for a living. My objective is to help you become more confident in your abilities, and be able to develop your own personal style. We will work on technical skills, composition, color theory, develop eye-hand coordination, and focus on what your needs are as an artist. I have worked with kids and adults of all ages, and have taught beginners through advanced students. I earned a BFA in Art Education from Baylor University in 1989. My teaching experience includes traditional classroom art in the public school system; training artists in murals and designer finishes; teaching adult workshops, and private art lessons to ages 9-adult. As an award winning artist I have participated in many art exhibitions, have representation in galleries throughout Texas, and have had paintings featured on TV shows and local magazines.

I've only had one class with Chris, but hope to take several more. Her lectures were good and not too long. Her instructions were excellent, and she gave very helpful critiques, along with encouragement. I really enjoyed the group exercise where we had several minutes of painting on everyone's small canvas. Just a great learning experience.

I have taken 2 oil painting classes with Chris. I heartily recommend her. I had no experience in oil painting. She was very patient and really brought out abilities that I didn't even know I had. Teaching is certainly her strength.
