I feel most fulfilled when I'm making images that stir up emotions. It's one thing to take a picture correctly, and it's another to capture a moment in time in a way that moves your audience. After graduating from Cal State Fullerton in 2010 with a bachelor's in Visual Communication, I attended several photojournalism workshops around the world for years including Look3 Festival of the Photograph workshops and Foundry Photojournalism Workshop with top photojournalists from National Geographic, Time and Washington Post, among others. Each workshop brought out another world within me, it helped me see how much photography can help us see the world, and not only others but see ourselves. If you're interested in mastering your camera and capturing daily life and events in a beautiful way, I'd love to be your guide and walk this wonderful path together.

Brenda's enthusiasm for photography and the "perfect shot" can be somewhat overwhelming, but you will never find a teacher with more passion and drive for this subject. She lives and breathes photography, and has global experience that anyone would be envious of!

Wedding & Portrait Photographers International (WPPI) was founded in 1978 to serve the needs of wedding photographers, then known as the “weekend warriors” – an often neglected segment of the industry. Since our first convention and trade show in 1980, we have grown into one of the largest events in the trade. WPPI 2014 drew over 12,000 attendees and 350 exhibitors and embrace photographers from all genres, including portraiture, fine art, photojournalism, commercial, video, and advertising.
