Bachelor of Music - Voice Performance from Syracuse University
A foundation of register coordination is the basis of Ms. Ratcliffe’s technical instruction. With correct and disciplined practice, a student will build strength, balance the voice, and cultivate more physical and sonic freedom throughout the entirety of the vocal range. While learning this technique, a student can take anywhere from a minimum of two to five years to sound polished, but can establish a healthy voice and beautiful tone for a lifetime. Ms. Ratcliffe also offers coaching for many different kinds of auditions including All-Regional and All-State competitions, college, and professional auditions. Additionally, she teaches diction in Italian, French, and German; sight singing and music theory; and musical style.
In 2019, Ms. Ratcliffe sang Norma in Bellini’s Norma at the Bruno Walter Auditorium, Lincoln Center, and made her professional recital debut “Love and Music” at the National Opera Center featuring art song, opera and musical theater. Her recent roles include Wellgunde in Das Rheingold (Wagner), Gi
