I have sung and taught gospel for over 20 years. My parents are pastors and I have worked with several pastors on improving their music departments so I am intimately aware on how to increase your stage presence, awareness and proficiency.
I have been taking the world by surprise since the age of 4. I began studying at Queens College at 6 years old and was a recital pianist by the age of 12. I was a consumer of music, from the Music Theory lessons on Saturdays, piano lessons on Thursdays and voice lessons on Saturday afternoons, my l

Laid-back atmosphere, reaching our goals in a fun way. Learning chords, strumming and techniques by learning to play rock songs. Enjoying the process is as important as achieving our goals.
I've played electric guitar for over 10 years now, I love to play and teach blues and rock. With me you'll get straight to business and play the songs that you love, with some practice you'll notice how you are gaining good understanding of the necessary techniques and knowledge to become a great

Anybody can play a musical instrument. It’s my job to help students become better at playing their instrument.
For example, making sure they use their fingertips to press on the strings so their fingers do not interfere with the other strings while playing chords. Using a metronome to improve their timing, etc.
I’m in the process of developing a leveling system to help monitor progress. For example level 1 would include open position minor scales and level 2 would include open position major scales. I believe this system will not only help monitor progress but also give students a feeling of accomplishment.
*** Travel Equipment *** I could provide strings, picks, and a notebook if necessary, but i would expect them to have their own guitar, an amplifier would be good for students with electric guitars but it isn't necessary, and possibly a notebook, a regular ruled notebook would be fine. *** Spec

A job provides money. A career provides income over a longer term. But, guitar...guitar is part of who I am. My passion for guitar and music has been alive as long as I can remember. Don't get me wrong, guitar and I had our ups and downs. Serious issues! At times guitar was stubborn and difficu

Experienced Piano teacher of 5 years available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation in their piano skills. I specialize in classical, gentle, and theatrical music. I typically use the Faber Piano Adventures series for beginning and some intermediate students, however I will choose a curriculum that fits the student. I supplement the series with works by classical composers or music theme songs from TV shows, Disney movies, or Broadway shows. I also have the following tools available to use during lessons: pianos, sheet music, and more.
A graduate from College of the Ozarks, Rebekah earned her Music Theory and Composition Degree in May of 2018 and her Piano Pedagogy Certificate in the Fall of 2017. Since 2012, Rebekah has taught many students of all age groups. Her favorite part about teaching students of any age, is watching

Josh is an amazing guitar teacher. I would highly recommend him to anyone interested in learning guitar or music theory. He is thorough and able to explain concepts in multiple ways, until I am able to fully understand them. He is patient, even when we have to review something several times, before I understand it. He makes learning the guitar fun and interesting, which it should be!"
And his teaching style put me at ease from the the very beginning

Do you love to sing? We'll take a wild guess and say it wasn't chord progressions and minor scales that caught your interest. But did you know reading music and understanding the theory behind it can actually help you as you learn how to sing? Find out more in this guest post by St. Augustine, FL voice teacher Heather L. Music theory may not be the most glamorous part of being a singer -- after all, no one's analyzing Brahms's first symphony at that summer music festival in town, and …
