Most of the subjects I teach are music related, in which I have over 6 years of Conservatory training, a Bachelor's and Master's degree, as well as over 15 years experience performing, recording, and competing on an international level. However, my interests, practices, and skillsets do extend beyond sound and visual art, and in the realm of spirituality.

I have also been practicing various forms of meditation practices and Yoga practices for the past 3 years. My influences span from Astral Projection to Reiki, to Vipassana Meditation, to Visualization Techniques, and much more. I believe and live by the idea that creativity is an energy that flows through us, and one's creative abilities can be improved and expanded, through the emotional body, which is influenced by one's perceptions. Throughout my training in music and the arts, I have realized that creative flow and love for what one is and does can be applied to anything in life.
Because of my 9+ years experience as a professional artist living in New York City, my students receive both guidance in discovering their own voice and comfort within their desired field of practice, and also practical approaches to retain and utilize their training and pre-ordained skill sets, with self-application and diligence. Through study with me, my students enable themselves to swiftly make progress and move toward a life of renewed purpose and fulfilment. Through specific assignments, exercises, and practices my students foster a real relationship with their instruments, and themselves, thus unlocking their creative minds, for usage in all aspects of their lives.
I teach out of a my home apartment studio on the upper east side, complete with weighted 88-key digital piano, Bose high quality speakers, recording equipment, as well as musical media, and tablature spanning many musical genres, cultures and time periods. I also am equipped with a spacious floor space for Yoga, Pilates, Weight Lifting, Meditation, and more. Additionally, I am able to travel to any location within the five boroughs for an additional travel fee (TBD based on location).

As teacher, Stephanie has taught all ages in music. She was a music teacher at a private elementary school in Miami and a professor at Barry University in Miami Shores. Stephanie also specializes in helping in competition training, helping many students place in the top music schools.
As a performer, Stephanie performs in opera and concert performances across the United States. This season, Stephanie debuted with the Klezmer Orchestra singing Hodel in their production of Fiddler on the Roof, was a soloist at Barry University in Rossini’s Stabat Mater, and will be performing
Featured roles in past seasons have included the Miami Summer Music festival, where she participated in the Wagner Institute concert, and as Elizabeth Proctor in the new opera production of The Crucible. The Palm Beach Arts Paper noted that she “sang impressively, handling the music with confidence and flair.” She also sang the title role in Pinocchio at Cedar Rapids Opera, as well as Flora in La Traviata, Carmen in Carmen, Giulietta in Les contes d’Hoffmann, Meg in Mark Adamo’s Little Women, Mrs. Herring in Benjamin Britten’s Albert Herring and the Nurse in Michael Torke’s Strawberry Fields.
Stephanie placed 3rd nationally in the New York Lyric Opera Competition, where she made her Carnegie Hall debut. She was the winner of the Miami-Dade artist access grant award, and the Concerto Competition at New World School of the Arts. Stephanie has also placed in the semi-finals of the Florida Grand Opera/Young Patroness of the Arts competition, and the Palm Beach Opera Competition. She has participated in distinguished opera programs such as the Miami Music Festival, International Vocal Arts Institute, Opera Academy of California, and the Manhattan School of Music Summer Festival.

I've been dancing for nearly 20 years, singing for nearly 15, and have lots of experience taking those talents out into the real world. I had to read books, watch videos, ask people how they practice, use my ears because I had no scores to any of the music I wanted to play, explore. I had to criticize myself, I had to remain conscious about my playing and what I think is missing in my playing in comparison to other players, analyze what is it that excites me in one’s music or playing. Most of all, I had the privilege to remain attentive to any new idea being suggested to me, because no one ever taught me what the “truth” is.
Be your own teacher. That is perhaps the only “truth” I would force upon my students.
As part of my teaching philosophy, I'm seeking to not only teach my students the skills they wish to acquire but to show them how to determine and teach themselves new skills they 'need' or desire to acquire.
