About Adia
Adia has been described as having “a voice full of personality and expression.” Her vocal stylings have been called soulful, soothing, and classy. Dedicated to the preservation of jazz music, her energetic and exciting performances are marked by a blend of jazz standards, original compositions, and an exploration of the elements of jazz found in contemporary music genres. For over ten years Adia performed with Generations, a jazz ensemble dedicated to the preservation of jazz music, consisting of some of the most seasoned jazz musicians in the triangle area, opening for Jimmy Heath and performing with Gary Bartz. Her debut CD First Take, features Generations. Adia is still often accompanied by her father, Generations bassist Freeman L., a bassist with over thirty years of jazz performing experience.

A skilled and passionate performer,
Adia works with various jazz instrumentalists. She currently performs with the her Quartet which routinely features jazz professionals, instructors, and students from North Carolina and the US east coast on drums, bass, piano, and horns.

A native of Durham, NC, Adia holds Bachelors degrees in Music Education and Jazz Studies from North Carolina Central University and a Masters degree in Jazz Performance from New York’s Queens College. She was chosen as an outstanding performer by Downbeat Magazine in 2006, and was selected to participate in the 2006 Betty Carter Jazz Ahead International Jazz Residency and Performance Project. Adia most recently was the featured performer for the 2011 Durham Arts Council Emerging Artist Ceremony and was chosen to be on the 2012-2014 Durham Arts Council CAPS rooster, bringing the arts to public and private schools. She also served as the music director for United Way’s “Shakespeare on Base” held at Fort Bragg Military Base in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

This was my first private lesson with Dr. Daniel, most importantly he made me feel very comfortable and I wasn't afraid to sing notes in front of him. Dr.Daniel took the time to gather my history and take notes about what I said. Dr. Daniel was very thorough for our first visit, even though I had only booked my first class to be 30 minutes. This teacher is impossible to get a hold of. Tried leaving several voicemails and text messages. He has a couple different phone #'s. Don't know which, if any, is the active # to use. No response from him ever. Couldn't reschedule because of this. Plus he lied and said I never contacted him. Now I am out a ton of money for lessons I wasn't able to use. Very greedy. I am not happy.

So you want to learn how to sing! Great! I'd love to help you!

I've been singing professionally at Walt Disney World for over 22 years (and still singing there). It is (and has been) a dream job. I sing with The Voices of Liberty at Epcot and The Dapper Dans of Main Street at The Magic Kingdom.

Also, I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Penn State with an emphasis in Voice.

I want to help you to sing as musically as you possibly can while maintaining excellent vocal health. I want people to be in "awe" when they hear you sing. Let's get started!

About Kevin
Hello! My name is Kevin, and I am looking forward to teaching you everything I know about music! I've been singing at Walt Disney World for over 23 years (and I still am currently) with the Voices of Liberty, the Dapper Dans of Main Street, and Four For A Dollar. I have a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Penn State University. Even more than singing, playing the guitar, arranging for a cappella, and playing piano, I love to teach! Ever since I was a sophomore in high school, I've wanted to be a teacher of music in various capacities. My favorite aspect of teaching several private students each week is that every individual student has a different story: What is it that you want to accomplish? Would you like to sing, play piano, or play guitar? Would you like training in music theory? Do you want to eventually have a career in m
usic? Will this be a hobby for you? Whatever your goals are, I am excited to know your story.

Vandi was super nice, patient (way more patient than I was watching my 6 yr old's first lesson!) and kind. She taught my daughter her first simple song, which she was so excited about. She also gave her the homework to write her own song which she IMMEDIATELY did after the lesson. I'm still not completely sure that online lessons will be right for us long term, but if we continue then Vandi is certainly a wonderful fit for my young child.

I will take you out of your comfort zone. This is the only way to grow! It seems daunting, especially if you're shy. BUT most of these are simply mental blocks, so there is no reason to be afraid! "Only thing to fear is fear itself." - FDR

I can get you to sing 98% of whatever you want to sing! The only limits are physiological! Less than 2% keeps you from singing ANYTHING! The biggest difference is if you're male or female!

About Erickson
I have received classical music training since 1999. I graduated from UNLV with a music degree. I have performed professionally since 2004.

Singing is EASY! So easy in fact that I GUARANTEE to make you a better singer by the first lesson or your money back! Ask me for details!

We can go fast or slow.

If we go fast, YOU NEED TO LISTEN! I can quickly escalate you to new levels! You need to DO rather than QUESTION! OBVIOUSLY, I need you to understand what we're doing, but being able to do something consistently will answer most of your questions!

If you want to go slow, we will have SO MUCH FUN! Much less stress. You'll still be able to sing with as much accuracy, but the journey will be at your pace rather than mine!

Contact me! Let's get started!

As a voice instructor with over 20 years experience in the private studio, college environment, church ministry, high school chorus master teacher, and as a free-lance performer, I understand that each student requires tools and techniques unique to their needs to grow and improve. Focusing on the basics of breath control, efficient support, and healthy vocal production, my gift of hearing and assessing each student's strengths and weaknesses allows me to create lessons catered to each singer's specific needs.

With a Master of Music in vocal performance from Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University, an appreciation of various styles of music, and my personal investment in each individual singer, I am able to successfully share my knowledge of the vocal instrument and my love of music with my students. I am proud of my student success rate with many singers pursuing degrees in music at the collegiate level, winning competitions, earning roles in local and community ...

About Holly
As a professional performer, teacher and master teacher with a Master's degree from Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor's degree from California State University, Chico, I have performed with orchestras, chambers groups and choirs throughout the United States and Europe.
Comfortable in both classical and musical theater genres, my knowledge of vocal production and the musical skills needed to succeed in music make me an excellent teacher. I pride myself in having a great ear and instinctual understanding of each student's individual instructional needs.

Before relocating to Houston, I owned and operated a successful full-time private teaching studio in the Atlanta area with voice students succeeding in All-State Chorus, the Governor's Honors Program, college auditions, local competitions, community thea
ter, and school chorus auditions. As a successful soloist and vocal instructor, I pride myself in teaching proper technique, nurturing each student's vocal development, helping singers develop a true love of music, and gaining an appreciation of their unique vocal gifts. Many of my vocalists learn the skills of reading music by learning keyboard and basic theory through piano lessons, which I am also able to teach.

With a creative and personable teaching style, I am able to connect with each student where they need to be met. My students of all ages see an immediate improvement when applying the techniques that I share with them. Focusing on healthy vocal production, good breath support, and proper techniques of support and vowel placement, I am able to help students reach their musical goals through vocal exercises and drills, direct application to selected music, and assigned home practice between lessons. After learning the basics of vocal production, we can further focus on interpretive elements of the songs and students will feel the rewards of making beautiful music with their own free and unique sound.

She placed in All State, Governor's Honors and Honor Choirs. The best part was when she received a scholarship for vocal performance, all four years of college (undergrad)! Now, she's studying for her master’s degree in vocal pedagogy and performance. Holly's influence went beyond vocal performance skills, she's a mentor and role model to her students.
