Hi! My name is Tonie [they/them], and I'm a music educator, Broadway session musician, and music producer passionate about giving my students the skills to play music and the tools to take charge of their learning. I have been teaching guitar, piano, voice, music production, and songwriting for 10 years and have worked with pre-school aged kids, teens, and adults to help them find their voice through music.

I'm someone who loves using music to empower myself and others to express themselves. When not teaching, I'm a working singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist.

Tonie brings a thoughtful approach to teaching guitar, listening to the student's interests in order to develop a custom lesson plan. Tonie's love for music and teaching makes the lessons lots of fun. Tonie's patience also means that I feel excitement about learning songs guitar technique.

Tony is very engaged, kind, and super helpful. They made it much easier for me to understand the tools and how to use them. I'm excited to learn more under their instruction!

Super nice guy, patient. I would've given it a 5 but we spent most of our time trying to figure out my hardware. Totally not his fault, I'm hoping he does some research about the hardware before or next lesson. I would recommend Tony for sure.

Great start for our 7 yo grandson. Tony immediately appealed to his musical interests, and prepared him to learn his first song next lesson.

Tony is seriously the best music teacher I have EVER had. He is so supportive, understanding, and knowledgeable. I have learned more about music theory in the past few months that I have taken lessons with Tony than I have across a whole 5 years. The way he explains all of the new concepts is very understandable and his encouraging nature makes you feel comfortable even if you make a mistake. He also lets you learn songs that you actually want to play, making the lessons even more enjoyable. Overall, Tony has truly helped me improve and actually makes me want to practice during my free time to become a better musician. Thank you Tony!

Tony creates a class just for me. Each class adds another layer to what I have already learned. I am progressing faster than I expected.

Tony has been a wonderful guitar and singing teacher, and has helped me learn new techniques and improve the skills I already had in just a few weeks! I think he would be a great fit for any type of guitar player/singer regardless of genre or age. His lessons feel perfectly tailored for the type of musician that I want to be.
