Hello! I believe that the joy of music should always be present when you sing, and that singing is a great way to see the benefits of hard work pay off. I look forward to helping you reach your goals! I've been studying singing for sixteen years. I've performed classical, music theater, metal, jazz, and gospel music, and I've been a choir conductor, choreographer, children's group leader, and private voice teacher. I love to teach early and intermediate piano, music theory, and audition prep.  I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music and Linguistics from the University of Oregon and a Master's Degree in Vocal Performance from Boston Conservatory at Berklee.

Singing is a deeply personal, vulnerable action. At all stages of musical learning, self-criticism, comparisons, and fear of failure can stifle our growth as singers. In this class, we will examine factors that can contribute to fear and doubt. Next, we'll explore tools to build resilience as students and artists. After class, students will be encouraged to put these skills into practice.

Mu Phi Epsilon (ΜΦΕ) is a co-ed international professional music fraternity. Today, Mu Phi Epsilon has chapters both nationally and internationally. The fraternity supports achievement in music through the awarding of grants and scholarships, as well as music competitions, concerts, and summer music programs. Much of this work has been supported by the Mu Phi Epsilon Foundation, an organization that has been in existence since 1963, as well as fundraising and donations.

Founded in 1944, National Association of Teachers of Singing, Inc. (NATS) is the largest professional association of teachers of singing in the world with more than 7,000 members worldwide.

Led children ages 7-11 in acting games, singing, rehearsal, and performance of a musical play.

My students will build a strong technical foundation for singing. We will learn about breathing, posture, text, acting, and other singing tools. I can help you free your unique voice, and have fun in the process! I believe that singing requires a balance of focus and joyful energy.

As a senior adult learner, it's not easy to pick up new things. So, it's great that Heather allows me to learn at my own pace and always gives me tips on how to improve. She's the third piano teacher I've studied with and is by far the most fun!

Heather has been fantastic for my 10 yr old!  It is clear Heather's knowledge is extensive but she makes the lessons fun and is so engaging with my daughter.  My kid doesn't realize how much she is learning and just loves going to her lessons every week!  As a bonus, her singing actually improved as well! I was impressed!  Heather is superb and all you could hope for in a teacher.

Heather may be the youngest voice coach in Boston at the moment, but her wealth of knowledge in singing technique reaches far beyond her years. Not only is she noticeably well educated, but she's also got great observational skills which are really helpful when I'm looking for feedback on how I deliver a song. She is a very cheerful, organized, and sincerely committed instructor. I would recommend her to anyone!
