I have been a music teacher since 1995.  I have taught flute, harp and piano privately and for music stores.  I have also been a classroom teacher for fifteen years.  For flute, I use the Flute 101/102/103 books and supplement with various solo pieces.  I am available to help a student with audition preparation for solo and ensemble or all state competitions.  For harp, I use the Suzuki books and ABRSM materials and for piano I recommend the students work in the Faber series until Level 4 or 5 and then branch out to the piano literature.  I have a background in sacred and classical music but I am also open to working with students on pop pieces as well.

Students will learn an etude and solo each class period.  Both pieces will be in the same key.  A class will typically cover these materials:

K-12 Music

I teach harp classes at two elementary, two middle schools and one high school.  We have approximately 50 students countywide enrolled in harp.  Two of the county harp students have received full tuition college scholarships with harp being at least one of the reasons they got the scholarship.

Harp Director

I teach beginning, intermediate and advanced levels on flute.  I also work on the staff of a local church playing flute for weekly services.  I use the Suzuki method for all levels and the Blocki Flute Method and Rubank Method for all students.  I encourage students to participate in band and other musical groups and their music with that group is part of my lessons.

I taught flute, piano and harp for Tampa Music Co. (No longer in existence).

Music teacher

I play flute and harp for weekly services at Seminole Presbyterian Church.  I also invite students to play for prelude at the church as a performing opportunity - they are not required to stay for the service unless they choose to do so.

I have been a freelance harpist and flutist, performing for weddings and special occasions for 15+ years.  This summer I will be partnering with a teacher friend of mine to form Dolce Flute and Harp which will continue to offer music for weddings and special events,.

I have been teaching flute for 20 years and I enjoy working with students of all ages to help them reach their goals.  At the beginning level, I use Flute 101, Suzuki Book 1 and selected solos.  At the intermediate level, students advance to the Flute 102/103, Suzuki Book II and III and beginning etudes and scales and at the advanced levels I work on tone, technique, standard repertoire and college requirements.  Advanced students study standard flute repertoire and I also include work on scales and chunking with the Flute Scale Book and The Art of Chunking.

I have completed my third lesson with Pam so the experience has been great.  I love her personality.  She is very bubbly, sweet, and patient.  She is knowledgeable about the harp and it’s history.  I like how she corrects me in a positive way.  I am enjoying my lessons with her.

We had a little technical trouble getting started, but overall it was a good first lesson. Excited for next time!

As a parent of a 14 year old flutist, I was apprehensive in doing online flute lessons initially but am glad that I did. We chose Pam for our on line lesson teacher based on her high level of experience. My daughter needed help with her audition music and Pam was able to work with her to get her ready with our tight deadline that we had.  Pam even took it upon herself to look into all the material that was needed for her audition and scanned the missing docs that I overlooked.  She is always thinking ahead and preparing material for the next lesson.  I would highly recommend Pam for a private lesson teacher, I am glad we found her!

Pam is a wonderful flute teacher. While I was studying with her in high school, I developed a love for music and the flute that will stay with me for the rest of my life.
