Good lesson! we reviewed how to construct a melody from a chord progression. 

Mr. Paul is very patient and encouraging. He is also very specific in what is being taught since he is looking to form the proper structure to learn the ultimately learn the instrument correctly. Additionally, he is just downright a pleasant person to engage with and puts you at ease from the onset. Looking forward to more lessons with him (and doing my homework!)

I have been attending Mr. Paul's classes for months. There are several of us who comes back to his classes because he teaches from experience. I have had pitch issues that were corrected properly because of his teachings and guidance.

My voice has improved a lot over the months. His open mics are chill and would let students express themselves through singing. His other classes are totally different if you would like to train your ears and understand music theory then the introduction to Jazz and Tonal classes are for you. He’s very honest and will let you know how to match notes correctly. If you’re flat or sharp, he’ll let you know. That’s what a teacher is supposed to be doing. To guide and teach you the right way. Mr. Paul is also very subtle with feedback and his classes are so fun. And yes, there’s lots of laughter cause he’s just a joyous person. I’d rather have a teacher who makes the class fun than a rather dry and boring class. 

Anyway, those students who kept learning under him have drastically improved their voices and ears (including me). Attending 3 classes won’t make you the next Ariana Grande and you won’t see the benefit if you don’t participate at all. You must attend at least a couple months of continuous classes with him, and you’ll then understand how beneficial his classes are. I appreciate Mr. Paul’s kindness and generosity. He’s dedicating his time to teach students for free or at a discount and this is something that I am thankful for.

Ive been to three of this instructors classes and he is just awful! He pushes to much and he doesn’t teach much I felt I learned nothing I will not go to more classes of his, he is the worst

Paul is not an instructor that should be teaching groups. He seems to have a one mind one set thought process while teaching. It was very uncomfortable in group to only be told one genre is the way to go also. There are students who sing multiple genres and it shouldn’t matter what they sing or how they sound. Each student should be treated equal. 😩😩

His classes didn’t help me at all. He might need to change his class curriculum to help every student and not make everyone sing jazz. I like jazz but it’s not my strong point I guess I will try other coaches.

I wasn’t happy attending Paul’s group classes. He is very outspoken and doesn’t listen to students. Very unprofessional I hope he gets more training before he teaches again.

I like the platform and most the coaches on it. I did not particularly learn much from This particular coaches class. I know in group classes everyone will either be a great fit or not one at all. I’m going to try out more classes and see how some more of the other coaches teach. I feel this coaches classes could use some improvement.

I attended a group class and felt it wasn’t very productive. Maybe private lessons are different, but as far as groups I won’t be attending any more of this particular coaches groups. I’m not a jazz singer and felt my classical repertoire was un welcomed. I just felt out of place. Maybe private lessons are different. I’m just expressing my experience. Thanks.

I was not a fan of this Coach. He comes across as one genre fits all and that just will not work!

I was hoping to learn more from his classes. There was more chatting than actual teaching occurring. It just wasn’t my vibe. This class felt more like being at the coffee shop with the girls.

I don’t like how this coach runs group classes. He never fully  explains things. I’ve attended other classes though and will try out more classes. I won’t go to anymore classes run by Paul though. I just didnt feel like the classes were helping.

I was not impressed by the way this instructor runs his classes. I Definitely will not attend any future classes.
