Robert was nervous for his first lesson. Annie’s teaching style set him at ease very quickly. She was clear and concise with her instructions. Very hands on as needed: adjustment of violin, bow , hand and arm placement, etc. I, as Robert’s parent, was very impressed with Annie.

My teaching experience includes students between the ages of 8 and 70. I believe in the individual approach and decide what music books and methods to use and recommend after the first few lessons with the student. Playing the flute is a great skill that lets you appreciate and express music. It also enhances your focus and the quickness of your mind since you think of a few things simultaneously while playing. For fun you can play your favorite song, compose one or play duets with your teacher.

Hi! I'm a professional violinist and passionate educator with 12 years of experience teaching students of all levels and ages. I'm classically trained but also have a wide range of repertoire from Early Baroque to 20th century music. I'm a compassionate and encouraging teacher who loves to bring joy to each lesson. My focus is to help each student achieve their personal goals while retaining curiosity as well as excitement through their musical journey.
For beginners, I teach mainly out of Essential Elements and Suzuki Method books in addition to other materials as needed. We will start our journey from looking at our posture, bow hold, open strings, and music reading skills. Then we will progress to playing our first songs and cultivate our practice regiments. I aim to maintain a balance between challenges and enjoyment in my lesson planning. We will acquire a solid foundation for progressively learning all of your desired repertoires.

About Amy

Hi everyone! My name is Amy and I'm currently pursuing my doctorate degree in Violin Performance at University of North Texas. I started the violin at age of three and have been teaching private lessons since 2008. Besides teaching, I actively participate in competitions, music festivals, orchestra

I am very grateful for the time I studied with Amy Wang. I studied with her for one year. She helped me immensely with my technique, and helped me to play and perform my first class I solo. I would definitely recommend her!
Kimberly
As an adult, rusty at the violin, but wanting to get back into playing and serve as a basic violin instructor , Amy really helped me with my basics. Position, bow handling, and sound production, are all very important to getting back into the routine of playing and Amy gave me a well explained, approachable, and thorough set of lessons, that I refer to often .

Mary was wonderful. I was apprehensive about my total ignorance of the instrument and my physical capacity to perform a task that involve the lungs. Since I am an old old lady this was a little challenging not only for me as a student, but also for a teacher. Experienced Mary knew how to inspire in me confidence. Her clear explanations gave me knowledge I needed, and little by little I became making the sounds that were so incredible amazing. Mary has a natural sweetness, a serenity that easily transmits determination, courage and faith. What a marvelous choice I made picking her as my instructor. I am optimist that one day I will play some of my favorites songs of my past happy days.
Laura
I have really enjoyed the lessons I got from Mary and learned a ton! I hadn't played clarinet for years but enjoyed starting to learn again and she helped make it a lot easier than just relearning on my own. I really recommend her as a teacher for any age student!
Andrea
Mary has the best sound concept and really teaches how to make a beautiful, expressive tone on the clarinet! She's has a lot of experience as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral performer. Mary is a wonderful professional musician, and the best teacher you could hope for! I've improved so much from taking lessons with her.

I have only been working with Liza for 3 months, and in those three months I have grown so much. My acting comes out in my songs, and I feel ready for all the auditions I have coming up. She really digs into what character I’m trying to portray. Our lessons are always a safe environment and she is always very supportive and encouraging. Overall, Liza has not only helped me ready for my auditions but she’s taught me to have when I perform.
Naoko
She was the best instructor ever! I already had an experience as a vocal in a band, but through her voice training I actually was able to extend my voice range. Also as a non-native English speaker, I found it very helpful when she guided me with more accurate English pronunciation of the lyrics.

"I have been taking flute lessons from Ms. Wilson for close to 4 months now and its been a great experience so far. I had very little idea of music and had no such formal training but wanted to learn flute. She is supportive from day 1 and started to teach me the basics of music and flute. She is very calm, listens to my problems when I don't get some things easily and tries to suggest solutions. She has been very flexible in class timings and adjusts her schedule to accommodate me when I can't make it to the class on some days. I wish I get to learn a lot from her and become a good flutist."

"I have been taking guitar lessons with David for a year and a half. It has been a blast to learn guitar from him. Whenever possible, he likes to structure his lessons so that you're playing music and it doesn't feel like you're doing drills, but when I have to work on something specific he gives me great drills to work on.

I've learned everything from Bach to AC/DC, from The Beatles to Rush. David encourages me that I'm improving, but also pushes me to continue to improve.

I am learning a lot under his tutelage, and I am going to keep learning as much as I can."
