Learning to play your instrument at the highest level will make it easier for anyone to play any kind of music they may like. Don't waste time learning to play tunes on sax, but spend time learning to play sax on any tunes. Seems like a smarter way to go to me. I'm all about learning to play as fast and efficiently as possible. However practice and playing time is a must.

Takes the same amount of time to learn to play sax now as it did 175 years ago!

About Kevin

35 yrs of teaching sax and clarinet students Many of my students have participated in Honor Band and All State Band events year after year. I am very comfortable with total beginners, advancing players, and aspiring pros. I currently have students from 9 to 80+ I tailor student lessons to the need

I mix and master for a wide variety of artists spread across a wide gamut of styles. I also produce my own music, which requires both mixing and mastering skills.

My approach to teaching audio engineering is more about understanding the aesthetics of acoustics, and applying your ears to a project to bring out its potential for greatness.

Students will do a lot of refining; listening and re-visiting old mixes and master files to mentally unpack what was done. Chronicling one's progress is integral to developing a consistent methodology and style.

I work through Logic Pro, and all of my lessons will be taught using that software.

"The best of the best!!!

I would not be the vocalist I am today without Karmyn!!! I started taking voice lessons from her when I was just 6 years old (I am in my early twenties now). Every time I establish a goal, Karmyn is there for me every step of the way until I achieve that goal!! Through her instruction, I have won many awards including several talent awards in the Miss America system, placed top 10 at the state level, placed 2nd in Loretta Lynn's talent search, and debuted my first CD with original songs at the age of 13. I wouldn't trust anyone else. She's AMAZING and truly the best of the best. Her methods are genius. Karmyn can and will help you reach your full potential. And Karmyn is more than just my vocal coach, she has been my friend and mentor for many many years. If I "grow up" to be even half of the honest, caring, smart, and talented woman she is, I will be ecstatic!!"

"Jillian is GREAT!

I took music theory and voice lessons with Jillian for almost 2 years (21 months) about 5 years ago. At first it was basically my parents who persuaded me to take her lessons, but I needed to take theory to help me compose music in college (which I currently attend). I knew I needed that basic knowledge and understanding if I wanted to further my personal growth and hopefully career. I've kept in contact with her periodically through the years, often bugging her for advice or suggestions (she's great at getting back to me). She really worked with me to develop the sound I wanted and helped increase my range. Jillian has this obvious love for music and I felt comfortable with her from day 1. Her high energy and genuinity made me feel relaxed and appreciative. Her enthusiasm about music, whether it be about theory, technique or performance, really inspired me and I was able to learn so much from her. Bottom line, she's amazing!"

"Update after completing 15 lessons. I'm still rocking out! Well, I have gone through the following stages during the last 4 months: (1) Overcome shyness in singing - Eric always makes me feel comfortable singing so I don't have to worry about how I sound or how I look (yes, some singing technique requires to make funny face!) (2) Improve voice range - Eric helps me to hit high notes without straining through his voice training methods. (3) Increase confidence - Eric always compliments my efforts and provides positive feedback. (4) Challenge new songs - Eric always encourages me to try something new/different. (5) Slump (For the last few weeks, I sounded so terrible at singing the songs that I picked and started losing confidence.) - Eric always relates to the problems that I encounter in singing, and he speaks to me from his own singing experiences. (6) Have fun singing - Eric always reminds me singing is fun! I feel so much better after yesterday's lesson, and I am ready to enjoy singing again. Eric is an amazing teacher, and I will continue taking his singing lessons! Try his lesson. I guarantee you will love it!!"

A Beginner's Guide to Ukulele Tabs: How to Read Them and Where to Find Them

Want to learn some cool riffs on your ukulele? In this lesson, ukulele teacher Willy M. shares how you can read ukulele tabs and find them for your favorite songs... Hello, ukephiles! Ukephile (pronounced “you-keh-file”) is a new word I just invented deriving from “uke” for "ukelele" and “philo,” Greek for “to love;” so it means “lovers of the ukulele!” Anyway, I digress. One of the hardest things for ukephiles is finding tabs for songs that you want to play. Most …
