Hello there! My name is Alex Boyt and I am a professional theatre artist welcoming students of all ages and experience levels students to join my studio. I hold a Bachelors of Arts in Theatre, a minor in Music education, and focuses in stage management, directing, and costumes. I have been teaching for 9 years working in children's community theaters, professional theaters, and opera companies. I've taught students as young as 4 years old up to college aged and professional artists as well. I can also offer training in theatrical stage management, script analysis, and musical theatre/opera acting. Acting and audition guidance from an experienced, Meisner trained actress and teacher. Specializing in monologue preparation, scene study, voice and speech, character building and Shakespeare, Danielle takes a personalized approach for each student to create an in depth character with strong goals and tactics. Methods will include: beats and scoring a script, defining the journey of a monologue, audition tips and tricks, choosing material which fits the student, cadence and tone, and making unique and strong choices as an actor.

I have been in the acting profession for 35 years - primarily Classical Stage and Voice-Over acting. I have taught on many levels and for different ages including workshops for high school students and university level conservatory programs. I have also taught adults in both Shakespeare and group Voice-over classes (at a Professional Studio). I love what I do and love teaching it to others.

At present, I create, preformed and produced my own audio work and have found that it is incredibly beneficial to learn something new or invest time in a subject or skill that you are interested in.

I have 20-plus years of experience as an acting teacher and have helped many students succeed in their auditions. I have experience in both stage and film acting, as well as in musical theatre performance. My focus is on helping students achieve believable and compelling performances that directors will remember.
