"Corinne is amazing! I have been studying voice with her weekly for about two years now, and my musical theatre callback and booking rate has multiplied so
much since before I started with her. She is so friendly and accommodating to my crazy, unreliable schedule. She always manages to fit me in when I need to see her for audition prep etc. She has also helped a lot on the business end of things with helping me create/work on my Book. She is wonderful at pinpointing what needs to be worked on most individually with her clients and letting that be an area of focus, while still making sure to give a full lesson with everything you need. For me, my weakness when I started with her was my mix. Now, two years later, at the last musical theatre audition I had (which I booked) I was complimented by the musical director about how nice my mix was. I definitely credit Corinne for that! I would highly recommend Corinne to singers of any level! Whether new and wanting to learn how to carry a tune, or professional singers looking for a good vocal workout, she is your lady!"

"One amazing teacher!
Tracey is a phenomenal voice teacher and I highly recommend her! She's organized, professional and very musically talented. But more
than that, Tracey is extremely adept at communicating the subtle and hard to grasp vocal techniques that are so difficult to put into words. In addition to using analogies, she's great at using visual cues (drawings, arrows, notation# and relating vocal movements to colors, physical movements and sensations. She was more than willing to adapt her lessons for me so that I can gain the best understanding.
I have had other teachers in the past, and while they were all talented and very nice, only Tracey has been able to help me improve my singing voice. I improved more in 3 lessons with her than I did in 8 months of lessons with a previous teacher.
Tracey is also very kind and patient #very necessary with beginners!) and very good at correcting without criticizing. She went way out of her way to accomodate my schedule and even comes to my house for the lessons. I think she's the best and I'm sure you will too!"

"I was Omar's first student, and even when he did not have teaching experience, he was excellent. From the first day of lessons, I learned the basics of th
e electric guitar and never stopped. Even during busy touring schedules, he made time to come to lessons and always kept me interested and involved. I learned under Omar for 7 years, during this time, he not only taught me how to play guitar, but how to understand music as a whole much better."

"My daughter loves taking piano lessons with Mr. Kevin. He is extremely talented and knowledgeable and teaches in a way that is effective and fun. His ex
citement for music, use of technology, and ability to assess my daughter’s needs from lesson to lesson keeps her practicing and I appreciate his excellent communication about what and how she is doing. I would definitely recommend Mr. Kevin!"
As certified teacher in three states and over 30 years of music experience, I am comfortable with students of all ages in developing their musicianship and love of musical expression. Playing violin professionally since the age of 16, my performance background includes symphony orchestra, mariachi, acoustic rock, chorus (alto), and various small ensembles. In college, I studied piano and currently play keyboard with a classic rock group. My overarching goal is to share the benefit of a lifetime of experience with my students so that they will find their own 'voice' in the wide world of music
*** Lesson Details *** My approach to teaching is to customize lessons to meet the needs of individual learners and to make learning fun: It is always okay to make mistakes as long as you are willing to do the work to overcome them. I will be there every step of the way to help you meet your musical goals. The curriculum used will depend on your current level of playing and the particular style of music you are interested in. From that point, I can provide you with basic theory, techniques, and self-selected pieces to guide you towards your personal goal. It is my hope that our lessons will develop into a lifelong teacher/student relationship: There is nothing that brings me such joy as seeing my students move forward and develop their own independence as a musician.
*** Travel Equipment *** I have my own violin; students must have their own instrument. Violin students that have a piano in their home is preferred but not required.
*** Specialties *** I specialize in working with beginning students to develop basic techniques and notation skills.

*** Lesson Details *** Piano students will focus specifically on the most important skills and concepts they need to be able to play proficiently and musically. This will be through the use of proper technique and providing clear explanation of music theory. Scales, progression, harmonizing, improvising and sight reading will all be demonstrated and explained thoroughly. Also creative exercises to help the students build chops and play parts that they can call their own will be encouraged.
Drum lessons will improve the students technique and creativity while introducing many diverse styles. I will introduce (or reinforce) the rudiments and how they might be applied to any beats or fills. Linear patterns and four way coordination patterns will be applied for developing good coordination skills and ambidextrous discipline. Styles will be covered to grasp a feel of straight 8th and 16th note patterns. Blues shuffle and swing rhythms will be covered so that the student can get a feel of grooves that are based on triplets. Students can also learn about music and rhythms from all over the world. Knowledgeable and helpful
He is responsive to our needs, patient, energetic, and positive. He makes lessons enjoyable and engaging for our 9-year-old son.
Music has been my passion for the past 18 years. I started piano when I was 5 yrs old and the violin when I was 7 yrs old. I continued with lessons until I entered the Detroit High School for Performing Arts. During my sophomore year, I took additional classes at Wayne Sate University for music theory and in my senior year I took on my first piano students. I have been teaching piano, violin and music theory ever since. I have also choreographed and taught dance for many years as dancing has been with me since my first lessons at 4 yrs old. My focus is in ballet, tap and jazz. I am a gradua
te from Eastern Michigan University where I was actively a part of the music and dance program.
*** Lesson Details *** I remember my piano teacher and I try to keep her balance of fun and learning. I am a very fun teacher, but I do expect my students to work, and learn. I introduce learning games and have contests. I also regularly quiz my students. For the younger students I like to inform the parents about what they should be practicing and of any theory exercises they may have for the week. Music is a rewarding and enjoyable passion that I try to pass on to my students.
*** Travel Equipment *** Students should have their own instruments. I will provide the first books, but they will have to provide the books that come after and I will assist them with that.
*** Specialties *** I've been doing ballet, tap and jazz for 16 years and i taught all of them for about two years. I teach classical piano and violin.

We were disappointed when Alysia showed up late to our 8 year old daughters very first piano lesson (which was an 8th birthday gift.....she was very excited) And then to our surprise she leaves the lesson 5 full minutes early. We thought that maybe she was having a rough day and decided to give it a shot again next week. Well, this time, not to our surprise, after a suspiciously quite...piano lesson...our daughter confirmed what we had hoped was not going on....Ms. Alysia spent much of the lesson texting with "her parents". Just disappointing.

Solid, happy Teacher, quality instruction!
Aysia has been a fantastic teacher for my 13 year old daughter for violin. She has clear expectations and lessons. She is very competent with her skills and good at communicating her knowledge in an encouraging and constructive manner. She has been flexible with the schedule when necessary, due to life happening. I highly recommend her as a choice teacher.

Alysia is a great teacher I was a little nervous to use her because most of the reviews were written by parents whos kids are learning and I am an adult who just really wanted to learn the violin but after meeting Alysia she is not only patient but informative I think learning as an adult we or at least I tender to want to run before I can crawl like let's just learn this so I can get to the "good stuff." The way she explains stuff really lets you see there is method to the madness of trying to learn something so complicated? She is also easy to work with both in song selections (within abilities) and how she teaches. Learning the violin poster among a thousand other things is important and she has a way of correcting that doesn't make me feel stupid I know my husband has the nicest things to say. After a few lessons I am still on simple songs at only a few lessons and I still mess up but I have improved enough he doesn't run away or put in ear plugs anymore. Thank you Alysia!!!! I cant wait till I get a few more lessons in.... I am very excited!

Acoustic Guitar ·
I have been taking guitar lessons from Ryan for five months now. Within those five months I have learned to use several techniques on the guitar. Ryan has also taught me about other instruments which has resulted in my guitar skills to be a lot better. Currently we are working on my rhythm by using the drums. Feeling the beat of the drums helps me with my rhythm. Ryan does not only uses drums but other instruments too. To help connect the instrument you came to learn on. Over all Ryan is are great teacher and I have learned more in five months than I did when I tryed to learn myself.

My daughter Daniella began guitar lessons shortly after the new year. Ryan is just great! He is patient and explains the proper techniques and fundamentals of guitar so that it is easy to understand and follow. What is also so great about his guitar lessons is that he listens to the student in regards to what kind of music they like and what they would like to learn how to play. Daniella has both an electric guitar and an acoustic guitar and has learned so much from Ryan!
