She's a good teacher . She also put up with me not knowing anything well.

Started with some basics and built on that. Was very helpful in showing me tuning, proper hand positioning, and how to improve my fingering (those pesky notes). Got a lot for the first class and enough homework to keep me busy! Will be meeting again next week.

It's time to play some Uku!
Ukulele is such an amazing instrument - it has beautiful sounds and it is very easy to learn. Come and play with me, and I guarantee you in the first class we shall be playing your favorite song!
My goal is to help you learn to play Ukulele with the correct posture and mechanics(strumming, finger picking), and know how to read the tabs(notes, rhythms) so that you could play songs on your own as long as you can find sheet music.
And I would love to see you improve and gain your independence - that is to not rely on me after some lessons and you can start playing Ukulele ON YOUR OWN! How exciting is that?
Oh, and I am a singing teacher too, so you are welcome to play Uku and sing with me in our class as well!
Come and enjoy Uku with me!

As a classically-trained singer, a piano player, a ukulele player and a native Chinese speaker, who worked as an engineer in the IT industry and did some psychology research, my own life is pretty colorful and diverse, so I embrace people with all kinds of ideas from different walks of life as well

Welcome to the world of the ukulele! This traditional Hawaiian instrument derived from the Portuguese Machete is a favorite by many for it's simplicity and ability to accompany the musician's voice. The ukulele is also a great solo instrument for those who don't like to sing, as it can be played melodically as well. The ukulele is a great instrument to pick up if you have no prior experience in music at all! After your first lesson, you will already be strumming away and playing your first musical notes and tunes!

I will teach you how to unlock your inner musician! In lessons we will cover everything from musical rhythms, strumming, chords, finger picking, musical phrasing, and also my method to learning any piece of music quickly and easily!

Lets learn to make music together! I look forward to guiding you on your musical journey, and I cant wait to start working with you!
