Violin Lessons in Linda Vista. Amazing Teachers.

In my one hour of comprehensive teaching, students learn extensively the techniques of the violin, including tone production, vibrato, musicality and pieces of music which are chosen from standard violin literature or Suzuki books. The whole idea is to get students to look at the whole learning process as a fun activity, and very soon they acquire the ability to produce beautiful sounds, correct intonation and strong vibrato. In addition to the above, I conduct some some ear-training exercises to improve intonation as well.

Students can expect to learn the fundamentals of the Violin. The love of the Violin will be something my students will experience.I like to provide a first class experience that my students learn to love and will cause them to embrace Violin for a life time.

I am an outgoing, positive teacher who has a passion for music and for sharing this passion with students in a fun and relatable way. I don't approach every student the same way - as unique individuals, I learn about the student's goals and personality, and will create customized lessons based on the information and relationship we form. Knowledge of the instrument, music theory, and basic fundamentals are building blocks of any lesson, but the sky is the limit!!

Although being mainly a Jazz violinist, I have performed and recorded in many different musical genres and improvisation styles including Blues, Trad Jazz, Rock, Indian Classical music, Bluegrass, Jewish Klezmer music and more. Since students spend most of their crucial development time individually in the practice room, as a teacher my biggest ambition is to teach my students 'how to be your own teacher' (I know it's kinda shooting myself in the foot :] ). When I was 20, I thought I should teach the violin. I like this instrument, and I want to share it with more people. Many people think it is not easy to learn, it doesn't start well, and it even pulls my neck. I think I wanted to tell everyone that this is an instrument that's so easy to play and doesn't cause any discomfort and hurt. So I spent many years studying to explore and think about how to teach it the easiest way, especially For beginners, how can they continue to practice. I think that through years of teaching and thinking, I have mastered some good ideas.
