Acoustic Guitar Lessons in Alessandro Heights. Amazing Teachers.

I've been teaching music for 15 yrs on guitar, piano, bass, cello and bass. My students have ranged from from 5yrs to 75yrs of age. I have seen many student go on to join orchestras, bands, broadway shows or simply continued their education to a university or college. Being able to read music profeciently has given me the opportunity to teach off many method books but like to use Alfred Method, Mel Bay and Frederick Noad Method books. I teach many styles ranging from classical, jazz & blues, rock, contemporary and pop. I do stress and recommend all my students to learn how to read music and usually by our second or third lesson they will playing simple songs. I am here to help you make music!

More than technique, I will teach you how to connect with people. Music is the art of communication. Being able to reach someone's heart, to feel what they feel, and to play what they feel is far more powerful than being able to play 16th notes at 160 Beats Per Minute.

Having played Jazz Guitar for 15+ years, graduated with a Music (Classical Composition) double-major from MIT, and performed at restaurants & large events such as Super Bowl Live, I will teach you the fundamentals to play any type of music you desire. I specialize in music improvisation and will show you how to learn songs quickly by ear. Also, I will show you what it takes to deliver a great performance for your audience.

Ultimately, my focus is on serving you. That means helping you become who you want to be and helping you express your true self through music. Together, we'll figure out what works best for you and what learning style helps you grow the fastest. And we'll have a lot of fun along the way!

Many students start on an acoustic guitar rather than an electric. I did, as a matter of fact. Acoustic guitars can be tricky if the student doesn’t have one that is the proper fit for them. My first goal with acoustic students is to make sure they are comfortable with their instrument, and that they can get the best sound out of it without using too much energy.
I find that many acoustic students turn out to be great at playing and singing after just a few months. Some of my youngest students have even composed their own music.

Lessons will be customized to meet the needs of the students. I have five years of teaching students from ages five to fifty and over twenty years of experience as a musician. Students will learn core music essentials such as music theory, ear training, sight reading, and more. And for songwriters I offer lessons on songwriting and structuring.

I can guide you through left and right hand technique, standard notation and tablature reading and more.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Classical and Jazz Guitar from Florida Atlantic University. I've been teaching guitar for 15 years now and enjoy seeing my students flourish.
