Minoo has done a wonderful job. My granddaughter is five so it was important to keep the classes fun—yet we obviously want her to be learning to play. My granddaughter looks forward to her lesson each week.

Piano is considered the mother of all classical instruments for a reasons. Almost all professional musicians and music enthusiasts get their start on the piano. I offer students a clear and organized approach to get playing simple tunes right away. Lessons cover the basics of technique, rhythm, harmony and melody and theory (depending on age) to ensure a solid foundation to build upon. I use singing and moving in addition to playing to help students develop lasting music skills.

About Max
I am a professional drummer, hand drummer, music producer and recording artist. I graduated from the Eastman School of Music with a degree in music education and percussion performance. I am a New York State Certified music educator with over 6 years of private and classroom teaching experience.

As a teacher, I give 100% of my effort to make sure students are seeing real, measurable learning happening every week. Its my passion to make music fun and accessible to every learner, no matter of skill, age or background. I believe in an individualized teaching approach that caters to needs of every unique student, because I believe whole heartedly that every person is capable of learning music, they just need the right tools to know how.

I have been teaching professionally for over 15 years. I have taught all ages and all levels students in a group or private lesson. (beginner to University music major students/young kids to the elderly).
I teach Pop (K-pop), Jazz, classical piano, and music theory. I customize curriculums for each students depending on their goals and level. Learn piano with an experienced pianist/teacher. All levels, all ages are welcome.
You can see my profile for more info.
Thank you!

About Hyojung
Hello, my name is Leann Hyojung.

When I was 5 years old, I started my piano training in classical and jazz piano.

I studied Jazz and Pop Piano at the Post Modern Music Dept. at the very famous Kyung Hee University (in South Korea). This is the same school that produced pop stars like Rain, Super Junior’s Kyuhyun, Primary, Big Bang’s GD and Daesung, TVXQ’s Yunho and Yoochon to name a few.
Since I was in College, I’ve been teaching pop and jazz piano to a variety of students, from beginner to the experienced, at all age levels. I understand every student is not the same, so I make it a priority to adapt my teaching style to match a person’s learning style to maximize the learning session.

While providing lessons to a variety of students, I joined multiple bands and jazz groups playing various genres such as, alternative rock, hi
p-hop, pop, and fusion. In these groups, I played piano concerts, played for various video projects, and also multiple studio recordings.

After I graduated with my Bachelors, I wanted to develop my music knowledge as a jazz composer. Therefore, I prepared and studied hard, and was admitted to the very competitive University of Miami Studio Jazz Writing program which is top 3 in nation for music programs. Since then, I’ve made Miami my home. In addition to playing music, I have been teaching Korean to UM students in their Direct Independent Language Studies program.

In Miami, my music creativity has grown and I have met amazing musicians. From 2011 to the present, I have arranged, composed, and continue to perform in various fields.

I believe my various experiences will help me teach you to learn the piano in any style you choose. Doesn’t matter who you are, what your experiences are, I will guide you to learn the piano, whether it be for professional reasons or recreationally.

Piano is an amazing instrument and has so much power. Have you wanted to learn your favorite songs? The piano is an easy instrument to start learning those and the way I focus on learning music is by focusing on the songs you like to play and listen to.

We focus on ear training, theory, proper practice techniques. We will learn excersizes to help us play with both hands better.

I also am a Jazz musician, so we can talk about imrovisation and comping as well

About Brandon
I am a professional Saxophone, Clarinet, and Flute player. I have been composing my own music for video games and short films, and working as a mixing engineer for a couple years now, just really exploring many different aspects of music. I have a degree from Utah Valley University in Commercial Music, and spent most of that degree on the performance aspect of music.

My Saxophone students can expect some of the fun and some of the practical. We will be working on articulation, tone production, intonation, breathing, different forms of vibrato and many other aspects of control over the saxophone while learning songs that you as the student want to learn.

I have been taking piano lessons for 15 years, and turning around and teaching the techniques and abilities to my students have been really fun! We work on the fundamentals, but we
focus on learning cool songs and do things that few other instruments can do.

I have a lot of fun with music theory. I try to be practical in what students need to know, but can teach much more. I have a jazz background and can teach jazz theory, including comping and improvisation.

Music lessons should be fun, encouraging and full of music that you love. They are an opportunity to learn something new, show your improvement, and receive correction, encouragement and praise. Students and instructors should play together frequently throughout and the time should be balanced with theory, technique and exercises, sight-reading, and performance and seasoned with introductions to a variety of music and styles. I like to encourage students to play because they love to play and to find the music that is an integral part of their soul, then to share that with others through performance. What do you want to do with or gain from your music? We will work toward your goals.

About Jennifer
Music is a huge part of my life and I love sharing that with others. Helping and seeing others discover and develop their talents and find joy in music is something I love.

I come from a musical family and have been singing and playing the piano since before I can remember. Flute (and piccolo) lessons began for me in the 7th grade and I participated in both concert and marching bands from there though college. Now I take regular opportunities to play with various groups of all sizes.

I have taught music (theory, flute, piano and vocal) to students of varying ages and backgrounds both individually and in groups. Working as the woodwind and marching assistant at my alma mater was a thrill and I enjoied seeing and helping students push themselves and reap the rewards of both talent and recognition for their efforts and accomplishments.

While participating in the Prince William Community Band, I had the opportunity to learn to play some percussion instruments and played in that section for a couple years. I have been a music director for several years and enjoy arranging music. It is never to late to start learning if you have the desire and persistence.

She was very kind, very patient, and very good at instructing. For two people who have never learned anything about the flute, my child and myself feel comfortable and confident in practicing what we’ve learned! Often for first lessons when setting out to practice you can’t remember what to do. She was amazing!
