Piano is an amazing instrument and has so much power. Have you wanted to learn your favorite songs? The piano is an easy instrument to start learning those and the way I focus on learning music is by focusing on the songs you like to play and listen to.
We focus on ear training, theory, proper practice techniques. We will learn excersizes to help us play with both hands better.
I also am a Jazz musician, so we can talk about imrovisation and comping as well
I am a professional Saxophone, Clarinet, and Flute player. I have been composing my own music for video games and short films, and working as a mixing engineer for a couple years now, just really exploring many different aspects of music. I have a degree from Utah Valley University in Commercial Mu

If you take lessons with me, you can expect progression! This takes top priority in my mind. It is very important for my students to know that I encourage keeping track of their progress on their chosen instruments. Setting goals and reaching them can be very satisfying! I recognize that every student has different skill levels and I will teach to the style that they best adapt to. One final note to add, they will be loved!
At just 6 months old my mom discovered me humming “Silent Night”. By age 2, I would sit in the bathroom, holding aloft a Reader’s Digest from which I would “read” aloud, belting gibberish at the top of my lungs. Needless to say, my mother quickly enrolled me in the children’s performing group “Suns

My name is Abby-Rose Jean Marie and I am a graduate of Berklee College of Music. I studied flute performance and music business. I have been playing the flute since I was very young. I beleive the flute is a unique and beautiful instrument. When I play flute I imagine a series of colors becuase each tone is bright just like the colors of the rainbow. This is what I imagine when I play and I hope my students have similar ways of seeing there instrument like this. I believe the flute is supposed to be a happy and calming instrument.

Good habits and an excellent attitude make great cellists. It doesn't hurt to love music too. I love music and I love to share my passion with my students.
Having a teacher who is an experienced performer is an important quality in a teacher. I am a professional classical musician currently working as a freelance cellist in the Chicago area. I play with Chicago Philharmonic, the Northbrook Symphony, the Lyric Opera of Chicago, and the Northwest Indiana Symphony, among others. Before coming to Chicago I played for 13 seasons with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra.
I have taught privately for over 10 years including 2 years in Paris. My teaching is a reflection of my teacher, Phillippe Muller. I studied with Msr. Muller while studying at the Paris Conservatory. Msr. Muller is currently a Professor of Cello at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City.
Even though I have been teaching and performing on the cello for most of my life, it's not all there is to who I am. I am a chef (almost--12 weeks to go), a mom, a wife. I have a cute little Tibetan Terrier that loves visitors. My husband and I love hiking in beautiful places. Studying with m

I love taking lessons from Alex. At first I was skeptical about taking lessons via Skype but it really works great. It is such a time saver to be able to take the lessons from my home. Alex is very patient and always is prepared. I had been particularly interested in practicing guitar rhythms. He put together rhythm exercises in several keys for me to practice. He sends them to me in advance so I can practice. He is really good at letting me go my own pace while still pushing me to work on stuff that is not as easy. He is honest and isn't uncomfortable telling me I didn't stay on beat. However, his criticism doesn't make you feel bad or like a hopeless musician. My rhythm playing has vastly improved since I started taking lessons from Alex."
Thinking of auditioning for summer stock theatre in your area? Here, voice and acting teacher Liz T. shares her tips for audition success... Summer stock theatre is a tradition that started in the 1920s, in which talented actors, singers, and dancers from the big city would perform and work on their craft for an entire summer at a local theater, very common in New England and the Midwest. Today, summer stock is still alive and thriving, and is one of the most rewarding experiences as …
