Teaching Style
I believe first and foremost in supporting and developing what musically inspires a student’s decision to study and play music. In order to fully develop control, musicality and understanding of the music language, it is important to focus on several components including music theory (scale and harmonic structure/function and rhythm), style, ear-training, reading and performance skills.

Expectations of Students
Like any aspect of life, consistency and patience are two very important qualities to posses when working towards a goal. The duration of each practice session is proportional to the level of the student. Learning how to practice efficiently with your instrument is key for adherence and success in obtaining your goals.

My daughter has been under the wonderful care of Ms. Taylor for over 2 years now and she has learned and grown tremendously under her care. From not knowing how to read notes or any finger placements, to reading notes and switching things up ( different tempos) while playing the piano on her own.

Ms. Taylor pays attention to detail and is very easy going that makes it easy for my daughter to learn. She is very compassionate. She has also taught her breathing techniques along with voice training. She keeps her grounded and motivated. My daughter has a passion for music and is in the best possible hands. She is very flexible and accommodating!

Thank you so much for everything you do to help her flourish!!

We LOVE and APPRECIATE YOU!!

Mr. Jesse is a very effective teacher and my 16 year old daughter has progressed very quickly in playing classical guitar and violin in just under two years. The lessons are very productive while still being very enjoyable. I'd recommend him for both for students who are learning a new instrument or already have a musical background.

"Steve has given my son and daughter guitar lessons for years. They always look forward to seeing him and learning new music. He not only teaches them a great foundation in guitar he also teaches them whatever songs interest them. If my daughter wants to learn a piece from some obscure artist Steve finds the music and writes the music for her. He then helps her learn to play what she loves. We couldn't ask for a better teacher."

"Indigo has a teaching style like no other I have encountered. For a while I've felt stuck & at a plateau with my playing until I started lessons with her. She works to connect your ear & body equally to the guitar, with a goal to be able to express yourself with the instrument as if it were a part of you. The lessons have been truly refreshing, and the work she assigns is stuff I could continue to learn more from for years. I am very excited to see where studying with this teacher will take me in the long run."

"I took guitar lessons from Dan for many years. He helped me establish great fundamental techniques and made lessons fun. He would always ask what I wanted to learn about and made it a very personalized experience. Dan is the main reason I stuck with the instrument. I had taken guitar lessons prior but the instructor was dry and uninspired, switching to Dan was the best decision I could have made."
