Playing live or in the studio can be really intimidating without your normal control over your sound. Whether you want to learn the basics to help your band's live sound, or get into recording, I can teach you the essential knowledge, skills, and hardware involved.
With a university background in Physics, I have a great understanding of acoustic wave theory, as well as electronics. From monitor mixes, to front of house, or recording an album with a full band, I've got experience solving audio needs.
Let me demystify Mackie mixer operation, phase relationships, impedance, resonant frequencies, and multi-band dynamic compressors.
From building my own FX boxes to tube amplifiers and speaker cabinets: I've built them all and can share that knowledge of the complete audio signal process from pickup to speaker.

Love old-school standards and musical theater? I am an internationally-produced, award-winning musical theatre composer and lyricist, and I'd love to help you learn how to craft a stylish song in the tradition of the 20th Century masters, and how to tell a story and develop characters through songs. I love working with students to deconstruct songs you love and figure out their structural tricks, both lyrically and musically, and can help you to figure out how to apply those structures in your own work. Can also work with you on music theory, notation and computer technology for getting your music written down.
I am an internationally-produced composer and lyricist, with over 15 years of experience in musical theater and composition. I have studied at Juilliard and the Tony Award-winning BMI Musical Theatre Writing Workshop, and hold a Master of Music degree in Composition from Brooklyn College Conservat

I started taking classes with Eric in hopes of becoming a better guitar player. The first thing I noticed about Eric was his cool rocker style and his charming smile. Eric is professional, reliable, and patient. One thing I truly appreciate about Eric is he works with you at YOUR pace. I have never seen him show any signs of frustration while teaching me and his flexible schedule has been really good for a full time college student like myself. Overall Eric is a great musician and an even better teacher. I would recommend Eric to any of my friends or family."
I thank you so much very nice class"
