About Joel

I started playing recognizable melodies on the piano at 18 months old. At that time I was told that I even had perfect pitch. By age 5, my mother started giving me classical, gospel, and improvisational lessons. I was one of her 50 students until my senior year in high school. Through elementary

He doesn’t just teach mechanics, he teaches you the how and the understanding so you come away with more than the knowledge of how to play a few songs. He tailors the curriculum and home practice around the student’s unique interests to blend enjoyment and knowledge in a way that keeps you excited about music!

My daughter has been under the wonderful care of Ms. Taylor for over 2 years now and she has learned and grown tremendously under her care. From not knowing how to read notes or any finger placements, to reading notes and switching things up ( different tempos) while playing the piano on her own.

Ms. Taylor pays attention to detail and is very easy going that makes it easy for my daughter to learn. She is very compassionate. She has also taught her breathing techniques along with voice training. She keeps her grounded and motivated. My daughter has a passion for music and is in the best possible hands. She is very flexible and accommodating!

Thank you so much for everything you do to help her flourish!!

We LOVE and APPRECIATE YOU!!

With over 20 years as a professional saxophonist and 15 years teaching experience I know the demands of a performing musician professionally and academically. I teach students how to produce a good tone quality with characteristic vibrato. I can teach students to become good at reading music. Students who are interested in jazz or pop styles of music will be taught improvisation techniques and how to play by ear.

About Carl

As far back as I can remember I have always enjoyed performing music. I can remember during my elementary school years how I would play drums during church service. Some days I would sneak in my dad's closet to play his saxophone. I began learning how to play saxophone in middle school and by the ti

He is one of these teachers that has pedagogic skills to guide his students. Dan is teaching my daughter plying violin but he also teaches her how to develop patience, perseverance and discipline. These qualities will definitely help my daughter in becoming a well adapted human being. We are hoping to have Dan as Sydney's violin teacher for many years to come.

Our 8 Best Tips for Effective Drum Practice

What’s more important: the amount of drum practice you do, or the quality of the  practice? Although you might be tempted to lock yourself in your room for a week to goof around on the drums, studies have shown that the amount of practice isn’t always an indicator of outstanding drumming performance.
