I teach in a more traditional and systematic manner with my goals for you to learn the basics of drawing by working with a variety of drawing media to develop eye-hand coordination, reinforcement of traditional drawing skills, to develop new ways of seeing, thinking and creating, and to build confidence through a variety of exercises. Upon the first meeting, I will gauge where a student is and build lessons around their specific previous knowledge, filling in gaps or starting from the beginning, if needed.

I am a previous high school art teacher of 3 years, who decided I wanted to spend more time in my studio creating my own art and offering private drawing and painting lessons on the side. I have experience teaching all ages, GT Certified, Pre-AP & AP Studio Art (college prep classes), and all levels of 2D & 3D art.  I specialize in drawing and acrylic painting, but have taught almost all art medias. I have been drawing my whole life and painting for the last 10 years.
