I am passionate about using my experience to help you learn how to bring your stories and ideas to life through drawing and maintaining a sketchbook. Whether you have never drawn before and have 0 art skills or you used to draw but haven't drawn in a long time, you can learn to draw and draw well. All you need is the knowledge and consistent practice. We will go through the fundamental elements of art that all artists need to know and which forms the basis of all works of art. We will also go over the art creation process so you will know how to use those elements to create art easily and consistently. I will help you develop an almost daily drawing habit that will give you the practice mileage you need to get better over time. I am an independent illustrator, and I've been drawing since I was seven. I graduated from The New York City College of Technology with an Associate in Applied Arts and have spent the last 10 years honing my skills and helping others do the same. By applying the techniques taught and keeping an almost daily drawing habit, beginners can expect to improve over time. I teach my students how to master the elements of art that all artists need to learn. This helps them advance quickly and confidently in their newfound skills as proficient artists. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy drawing in my sketchbook using my colored pencils to sketch quick, colorful portraits, landscapes, and doodles. These quick drawings help keep my skills sharp as I plan my next project. Creating a sketchbook filled with little drawings that tell your story will be an exciting experience for you.
