Hi, there! My name is Kai, and I can't wait to meet you! Spreading the joy of drawing and painting has always been a great pleasure of mines. Being trained in China's most prestigious and renowned fine arts academy, CAFA (China Central Academy of Fine ArtsI) as well as studying in Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, Shanghai Art and Design Academy, and Ruth Asawa School of the Arts, I offer art classes in traditional realistic painting and drawing techniques, both Online and in my studio I set up within my studio. Students of all levels are welcome. From beginners who love art and drawing but who have not had formal training, to experienced artists who want to gain a more solid grasp of fundamental principles, historical training methods lead to significant skill development within a few months of teaching.

I had a huge coincidence by having a lesson with Kai in the Bay Area. He and I have the same point of view about learning drawing that helps me to understand his tips and instructions. It is a true pleasure to be his student, I was feeling like I’m detective who’s seeking for tips and clues and try to transfer all of that onto the paper. Also he is really good by explaining how to see simple shapes and figures in every object, how to extend an imaginary line and keep angles which did and will help me to draw more consciously. Highly recommend him anyone who wants to improve its drawing and painting skill.

Kai is an excellent instructor and has left a tramendious mark on me as both a student and an artist. Kai may be young, but he has knowledge beyond his years through skill and ambitiously being self taught he has been commended on nationally. Kai in the fall attended FACE and was recently awarded a certificate of excellence from The Portrait Society of America. I very grateful to have worked with him and been walked through his very informative and beautiful demos. Crique from Kai is wonderful and facilitates vast and constructive improvement in skill level. Would highly recommend Kai!
