Learn to draw like an artist! Drawing lessons with an expert illustrator and designer

I can provide you with constructive criticism as you progress in your work. This also helps motivate students to take a step back and objectively look at where they are now and how far they have come with their work. As a person who is constantly evolving as an artist myself, it is important to bounce ideas off of others to help you improve and get a better understanding of how to develop your own style with your art. I enjoy the impact art of any kind has on society and others. Art can be used to communicate many things and in many different forms. Also, art is subjective and beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Not everyone will love your art expression but it is important that you're passionate about your work. I enjoy learning through interactions with others and the way they perceive their surroundings. My passion for art started when I was very young. I am currently teaching visual arts to preschool through eighth grade while studying and working towards a Master of Science in Art and Design Education. I enjoy teaching what I love to do and that is creating art! I like to engage students with stories about well-known artists while demonstrating how to work with various mediums such as pencil, charcoal, oil pastels, watercolors, ink, clay, and digital technology. My background experience has always been in design and in the arts with my most recent teaching experience ranging from children up to adults. I am a working artist, graduate student, creative professional, and educator skilled in Drawing, Illustration, Graphic Design, Surface Pattern Design, Apparel Design, Product Development, and Small Business.
