Teaching since:

Hello there! I'm Emily Carrier, an artist, illustrator, and all around nerd. I am a freelance Illustrator who works primarily on children's books and character designs. I have studied illustration for four years at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). I have been drawing ever since I could hold a crayon. My love for art only grew with time. Now, my art style can be described as whimsical and quirky. I have worked with different clients and have even produced four children's books with more on the way!

I am here to help any beginner artist who wants to learn the fundamental basics of art, to the intermediate artist who may want to further their skills and experiment with new materials and techniques. Being a graduate of an art school, I have been emerged in an environment that pushed my own boundaries and creativity. I have learned new techniques and ways to promote my art and spread my love around the world. I would love to mentor any student who wants to learn more about art, whether it is for their own personal projects or if they wish to pursue art as a career.

Art is one of the most important subjects that can be taught. It allows one to explore themselves and the world around them. You learn to harness your inner creativity which can help develop problem solving skills. You do not have to be Vincent Van Gogh, Picasso, or Leonardo Da Vinci to express yourself through art. The point of art is to find your own inner happiness.

Emily Carrier is not only a great artist, but also a great person to work with. It is obvious how passionate she is about her art. I enjoyed working with her and look forward to collaborating more in the future,
