Experienced Music teacher of 8 years available for eager students of all experience levels and ages! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation of their instrument and theory skills. I specialize in all styles. Typically, I use a variety of method books to pick from to meet the needs of the students. I also have many tools available to use during lessons.
My students have gone on to NYSSMA and on to college auditions successfully!

Doctoral music student at Stony Brook University. Experienced teacher of 6 years! Degrees from Manhattan School of Music (masters) and Brigham Young University (bachelors). I love teaching oboe and reed-making! I've taught all levels of oboe students, from absolute beginner to high school seniors. I keep lessons fun and go at whatever pace the student prefers. My aim is to make music enjoyable and rewarding through achieving specific goals and having fun. I have a thorough, though flexible, curriculum to help my students achieve their goals, master the oboe, learn repertoire, and love music.

The oboe is an amazing instrument! The oboe is unique because it uses a double reed.. I am so excited to teach you more about the oboe I am an interactive teacher who can assist you in many ways in regards to learning how to play the oboe including; correct posture, new breathing techniques, correct fingerings, alternative fingerings, half-hole technique, improved sight-reading skills, greater music theory knowledge, and performance skills.
