I have had a vocal coach before meeting Pam, but she absolutely took it to another level. Pamela does a good job with teaching the mechanics of singing, as she pin points which muscles the body is using and how to use them properly when singing. She has a variety of warm ups and stretches to get your voice and body prepared to perform and is very good and pushing you to become your best. If you are a serious singer and would like to take the knowledge of your craft a step further, I would definitely recommend.

Pamela is a teacher.

Pamela was very patient with my young daughter. She taught her the beginning stages of reading music and her voice became clearer and louder because of the confidence she gained during her sessions. I would recommend Pamela as a singing instructor for any age but she was so patient and encouraging for my young daughter. We loved it.

With students who have a classical focus, I spend considerable time developing a firm technical foundation. Lessons are adapted to the needs of the student on a weekly basis so that the knowledge gained is cumalitive. I believe that it is essential for a classical singer to be wholly aware of how their voice functions, and to have the tools necessary to gain full ownership of their singing.

About Elliott
I am a classically trained singer living, working, and teaching in NYC. I have a degree in vocal performance from The University of Maryland at College Park. While in the D.C. Metro area I performed as a chorister and soloist at The National Shrine, Metropolitan A.M.E Church, and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. My exposure to a wide range of music, from baroque to contemporary gospel and musical theater, has strongly influenced my teaching. My goal is always to help a student develop their own understanding and experience of singing in a way that is fun, interactive, and personal while also progressively building a strong technique.

*** Lesson Details ***
My lessons are generally split between technical work/ warm-ups and repertoire. I like to adapt my concepts to a students individual personality and capability, in that
sense I am flexible about the approach taken to achieve optimal results. Every singer thinks and communicates differently and I see it as my job to figure out what will work best for you. I think that a foundation in a classical approach gives students the biggest toolkit which to work. Once the fundamentals are firmly established, that singer then has the ability to approach any style of music in a way that is healthy and secure.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Programmable Digital Piano and Recording Equipment.

*** Specialties ***
The approach I take to the voice is based in the tradition of classical bel canto singing. It is always my goal to help students understand how to use their breath and body to produce sound that is free of tension, optimal, and beautiful.

Elliott is a very effective teacher. I always trust Elliott's ear and he has helped bring out a truer sound inside of me that I've never experienced before. I trained in musical theater and have sang for a long time, Elliott has greatly helped me connect with my singing instrument in an open, technical, and healthy approach. Very grateful. Thank you!

I love opera and I love to teach it. I know the repertoire intimately. I am a retired opera singer myself and my students do really well with me!

About Rebecca
I specialize in teaching technique. Through the correct, high placement of vowels and deep breath support I can teach my students to have free, powerful and controlled voices. I teach all genres but I specialize in opera. I was an opera singer myself and I particularly enjoy preparing students for applying to schools to be a voice performance major. I have a student now who is applying to all the top music schools.

I teach the same technique that the greats of the Golden Age used. Lots of science-backed technique designed to strengthen your voice and help you sing healthily. We will choose material appropriate for your voice type/age/range and apply the technique. I also place heavy emphasis on breathing technique, vowel modification, diction and foreign language pronunciation.

About Jessica
With more than 26 years of performance experience, I offer my students a fun, science-backed technique that is perfect for all ages and levels. I trained at Juilliard, Pepperdine University, and hold a degree from The New School. Here is my full professional bio:

Other engagements have included Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia with Metro Lyric Opera New Jersey, and 2nd Lady in The Magic Flute with the Harrisburg Opera Association.

Active on the concert stage as well as in opera, Ms. Schneiderman has been a regular soloist with her home orchestras, the Burbank Philharmonic and the New West Symphony, performing works by Mahler, Stravinsky, Orff and Mozart. She has also performed at Carnegie Hall as soprano soloist in the world premiere of Ed Lojeski’s Missa Americana. Later, she premiered the soprano solos of Mike Garson’s Symphonic Suite for Healing at the new Segerstrom Hall in Costa Mesa, CA.
Ms. Schneiderman made her operatic debut with Festival Opera Walnut Creek as Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro to much critical acclaim and went on with the company to perform Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia and Sophie in Werther. Ms. Schneiderman attended the San Francisco Opera Merola Program, and immediately followed this with a year as a Resident Young Artist with Seattle Opera, where she specialized in the music of Mozart and Rossini. Voice lessons for a student interested in studying Classical Voice by way of Opera Arias and Art Songs

About Angela
I am a professional opera singer and voice instructor in New York City. I have an opera, musical theater, church and choral background. I am comfortable teaching all styles of music.

Our singing voice is the instrument that we were each born to play. My goal is to make singing effortless and enjoyable and to help my students build confidence in themselves by developing their instrument.

Together we will work on breathing, speaking and vocal exercises as well as appropriate repertoire singing with beautiful Italian vowels, free of tension and with emphasis on emotional purpose.

It would be my pleasure to work with my students on basic music theory. I can also help students prepare their voices for public speaking engagements.

Working with the physical structure of your face and body, we'll uncover ways to free you FROM yourself. Many bad vocal habits are learned through everyday life - together we can identify these to bring you closer to the optimal function of your voice. I will provide a foundation of knowledge for effective breathing and posture, as well as fill your 'toolbox' with many practical methods to alleviate tensions and encourage optimal resonance. Alex is a brilliant man and a terrific professional singer who has incorporated and consolidated correct and admirable vocal knowledge and has an insight and perception into voices and the root cause of issues and the path to improving a voice. His understanding of the uniqueness of each voice with an underlying bel canto, vocally scientific and yet musically based methodology is outstanding. I would trust Alex with any singer and I know any voice type in any type of repertoire, musical theatre and jazz and even pop, would benefit greatly. he is a deep thinker, but an outgoing and generous individual with great patience. I admire him greatly and I know he is already an outstanding teacher, though his professional career is giving him a great balance, and a good insight into the world each singer is venturing into. A uniquely qualified person.
