Open Mic - Come and Sing! - Singing Class

I think Katrina does a wonderful job facilitating these sessions. She brings a very kind and positive presence. Her feedback is always positive and constructive. It is clear all the regular attendees really appreciate her. I really appreciate her and will continue to attend when I can. The only opportunity I see is that a lot of the attendees are not ready to sing when it's their turn. Sometimes it seems like they want to converse or fool around more than they want to sing. This cuts into the time that could be dedicated for those who want to sing. I recommend Katrina set a precedent at the beginning of each session advising attendees to please have their song choice selected and be prepared to sing when it's their turn. This way more people would be able to sing, and perhaps more than once. Additionally, would it be possible for TakeLessons to create open mic sessions for individuals 21 and older? A lot of the participants are in their teens. It would be nice to be able mix with more mature people. Again, these are not criticisms as I do enjoy these sessions and appreciate any consideration on my recommendations.

Katrina is amazing. Her group classes are fun and engaging. She always provide positive praise to students. This really help to build her students confidence. I have been getting private lessons with her; private lessons with her are different. She's very particular and won't sugar coat it if your off key or not doing it the right way. I like that she's not restrictive and will allow you to try songs that are out of your comfort zone. She's an awesome vocal coach and I will continue to do private lessons with her. Don't let her beautiful baby face full you, she's wise and talented beyond her years.
