Hi!  I hope you will enjoy my classes.  I have a Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology.  I worked in the telecommunications field for 10 years.  I have a Master of Arts in Teaching and Learning with Technology and just need to finish my dissertation for my Educational Doctorate in eLearning and Organizational Leadership.  I formally taught English as a Foreign Language to children in China from home.  I love teaching.  
  I have a wide range of interests and hobbies.  I love gardening, sewing, needlework, crafts, singing, reading, and cooking.  I am currently an Arkansas Master Gardener.  I have 2 grown daughters, 3 granddaughters, and 1 grandson. 
  I work with children at my church and am excited to teach about Christ. 
  I have been singing and performing since I was 5 years old.  I studied voice at Collin County College and Texas Women's University.  I have taken private voice lessons and taught vocal coaching for over 15 years.  
  I was a Sweet Adeline for 15 years.  I sang with the 5 time International champion Rich Tone Chorus for 3 years and Texas Harmony for 10 years.  I have also worked with 2 new choruses in the Dallas area.  I also sang in a quartet called Rambunxious for 3 years.
  I have been a sub teacher in the public schools for over 17 years.  I sub 4 days a week currently.  I have tutored all subjects and grades. I love reading and read a book each month.  One of my favorite subjects is history.  I love reading about history and the lessons we can learn.  I love to learn about the different states and countries on our wonderful planet.  I also love teaching Bible Studies.
I'm working on some crafts classes So watch for those.

We have fun!!  We will learn to sing a wide range of music.  We work on vocal skills but mostly learn different songs.  I have a rotation of songs.  Each song is used for 2 months, 3 new each month and e rotate off each month.

Lessons are really informative and loads of fun too!

Disorganized and she drags her student into her drama and problems rather than truly focus on the student and their needs and goals.  She did not use the takelessons platform, but she used Zoom.  She did not send me a link so she doesn't seem too technically proficient.  She rambles and is all over the place talking about technical challenges, different platforms like outschool.  I had to get her to start after ±12 minutes of rambling to do warm-up exercises.  My warm-up singing is concurrent with a recording of another lady who is singing.  She also didn't sing herself at all until I asked her to sing to show me how to do it.  After ±5 minutes, I asked her if there was any feedback and she said "I can't hear you so I can't give feedback."  Nice.  She supposedly has years of experience, but she doesn't seem to enjoy teaching or maybe it's because I'm a guy or maybe it's because I'm young or both.  I have no idea.  She didn't smile once and she seemed to want to milk the clock and just ramble on and on rather than conduct well-organized warm-ups, singing lessons, etc.  just because someone is good at something doesn't mean they can teach it.  I have zero interest in working with her again.  

Was extremely friendly, was a wonderful 1st class looking forward to my next class

Nita is a wonderful teacher and a compassionate person. I enjoyed my first lesson.
