Hello Everyone, I am your future teacher.  I have been playing for 25 years, I recently recorded for Mark Farner of Grand Funk Railroad, and I have recorded for various other rock and metal artist from NY and LA.  I have toured the country with my original group from NY opening for bands like Iron Maiden, Kittie, Powerman 5000, Otep, Glassjaw, From Autum to Ashes, ect. 

Although my history of playing is mostly in Heavy Metal, I produce EDM as well, and play different styles like Rock, Pop, Hip Hop, Reggae, Classic Rock, House Music, EDM.  

I have a high energy, engaging, encouraging and exciting method for teaching drums.  Drumming has has been proven to benefit brain development while also burning tons of calories.  And best of all, it's more fun than any workout you could get at the gym.

Join me to learn how to play and love drums, I promise it will enjoy this journey.

We will learn to play “Back in Black” by AC/DC.  This is an excellent combination of fundamental rock drum beats that are important for any aspiring drummer to learn.  We will go over each section individually, and then combine them all, so that you will know how to play a new song in 1 hour.

My drum lessons are the most fun for many reasons.  I focus you on the music you love, stay as far away from boring material as possible, while teaching you the most important aspects of drumming such as technique, hand positions, posture, pocket, feel, timing, ect.  But I use music as the guidance system.  We will cover drum rudiments, we will cover different genres like Rock, Pop, Metal, Hip Hop, Classic Rock, Reggae, EDM.  We will have a blast.

Jason instructs my 6 year old son on a weekly basis, via FaceTime. He’s fantastic. The drum lessons have been a great way to keep my kid engaged in learning music during the pandemic. Jason is patient and thorough and keeps my child  focused and happy. If you’re lucky enough to get room on Jason’s schedule, take it!
