"I trained with Dan at the National Opera Center in Chelsea and can say nothing but great things. He created each new lesson to accomodate my strengths and
weaknesses, as well as my goals. He was always persistent and encouraging, helping me to sing with confidence as well as get my foot into the world of vocal technical prowess. He instantly spotted my faults, such as diction and vowel formation and always had exercises in mind to improve and overcome them. He has a massive knowledge of the repertoire from classical to contemporary and was open to whatever I wanted to sing, from Copland to Marvin Gaye. If I wasn't moving out of the city I'd continue training with Dan and recommend anyone serious about singing, or improving their vocal chops to study with him as well."

"Professional and Fun
Murray does a great job of encouraging the student while he is teaching. He takes the time needed to explain the very basics before
moving onto the more difficult concepts. He played for me and my family after my lesson was over! We really enjoyed it! He knows what he's doing and he has the instrument knowledge to back it up!"

"Knowledgeable, patient, friendly teacher who catered perfectly to my skill-level and needs.
As someone with only a small amount of vocal training and kno
wledge, I needed an experience that would cater to my current skill-level and encourage me to move forward. Chris made me feel completely comfortable and emphasized the importance of singing naturally. Chris offered me simple, concrete explanations of how the voice works and why we implement certain singing exercises - this makes our practice together fun and natural, and reveals the relative simplicity in applying certain vocal techniques. He was very personable, consistently offered more explanation when needed, and invited me to help shape the lesson experience by asking for my input and feedback. Most importantly, he gave me real recommendations that I could start applying immediately! Chris is very knowledgeable - I would definitely recommend his services and plan to have more lessons with him!"

"Jesseka is the best piano teacher ever!
I have been taking piano lessons with Jesseka since July 2009. Under Jessekaâs guidance, I have excelled very q
uickly in piano. I look forward to seeing her once a week and I never want to miss it.
Jesseka is enthusiastic, patient, and knows exactly when to stop and have me review something that Iâve overlooked. She is a very kind and comprehensive teacher who reviews details of the music lesson in a fun and charming manner. Jesseka truly cares about me and provides positive and encouraging feedback. She is a professional and always has a smile to share. I would highly recommend Jesseka as she is the best, the one and only, piano teacher I have ever had."

"Easy going guy, totally prepared for lesson when I arrived. Had printouts and a folder for me ready to take home for practicing. He was understanding of
my changing schedule and happy to move our lesson around to accommodate.
Super encouraging, I would recommend him to anyone just starting to learn an instrument or maybe having trouble getting past a technique issue. Gave me gentle reminders to correct technique issues early, which is invaluable. Unfortunately, due to a job change, I can't take lessons anymore, but when I come back I will be taking them from Brian again."

"Roseminna is an artist in the true sense of the word. Her natural intuition for figuring new concepts and problem solving old ones makes her an obvious ch
oice as a teacher for beginning or advanced students. I was lucky enough to work with and get to know Rosey in both the realm of performance and education over the last 5 years, give or take. Her unique addition to the already existing traditional style of the violin is one that I hope to see more of in the next generation of musicians to come, and one that is definitely worth exploring first hand, through the teacher herself! I highly recommend Roseminna as your next choice for violin, chamber or music lessons of any kind. You will not leave without having had a truly fulfilling musical and personal experience, as her extreme devotion to music, sound, and movement is continuously expressed and practiced in all aspects of her life, a rarity to experience among many other traditional violin teachers. Rosey cares about every note, about every person, and every thought that instigates the desire to play music. If you're looking for a great teacher with limitless knowledge about the violin, with boundless energy, and with an genuinely humble personality, this is the way to go for sure! Please check her out for yourself--you'll be so happy you did. She is definitely a hidden gem in the Austin community."

"I have been learning for past 3+ years with Jimmy and I got to tell you he a great teacher. I have lot of respect for him and his teachings. Not only he t
eaches guitar lessons he give me advise for personal developments. Three major things I like about Jimmy: He is available anytime to answer questions, He records lessons for me to practice at home and a clean studio. Finally, I strongly recommend taking classes from Jimmy and I am sure you will see the difference and enjoy his teachings."
I have been teaching and writing music professionally for ten years. My first introduction to music was just like some of you, starting in high school where I had a great teacher that encouraged me to play. This helped me so much, and I wouldn't be where I am at if it weren't for his help and positive encouragement. Now I try to encourage all of my students the same way.
After high school I went on and played percussion with various Orchestras such as the "Inland Valley Symphony Orchestra" and "Mt. San Jacinto Symphony Orchestra."
I have also been involv
ed in the DCI (Drum Corps International) and Drumline community. I toured for four years and experienced performing with groups such as Yamato Drum and Bugle Corps 2002-2005, Black Knights 2006, and RCC marching and winter percussion under the direction of Scott Johnson & Jeff Lee in 2002, and Sean Vega & Jim Wunderlich in 2003.
During my college years I started playing Jazz Vibraphone in my school's top big-band. This allowed me the opportunity to play Jazz Piano which I have performed and still study until this day. As a result, Jazz has now become one of my biggest passions.
As a Professional International Composer, I have had the privilege of writing and arranging for many marching bands, wind ensembles, and indoor percussion ensembles, including orchestrations, recordings and sequencing projects for media, and musical theatre in the United States and Japan.
I am also currently an adjudicator for the Southern California Band and Orchestra Association (SCSBOA) and a member of the Vic-Firth Education Team.
I hope that this gives you a close and personal Idea of where I come from and hope that I can help you get the most out of your experience with music.
*** Lesson Details *** I believe that in order for you to get the most out of our lessons it takes both, the Teacher's and Student's understanding and attention from both ends. sometimes giving all of the information in the world won't help if one there is no engagement and two if me as a teacher don't make sure that you understand. So I like to make sure to explain things in more than one way to make sure the student understands the concepts and what to practice.
I like to keep a relaxed atmosphere, but also making sure that there is a high level of professionalism and expectation of attentiveness from the student.
Of course, I also understand that this all depends on the age of the student, and as we meet and get to see what it is that you want to focus on and I will make sure to concentrate on that and help you reach your goals!
*** Studio Equipment *** Mallets, Concert and Marching Sticks, Metronome, Practice pad, and Literature. (Acoustic and Electric Piano are available depending on the time we arrange our lessons at the studio) (Electric Drumset Available soon)
*** Travel Equipment *** Mallets, Concert and Marching Sticks, Metronome, Practice pad, and Literature. (I sometimes bring additional implements, such as hand drums, like a djembe and other accessories, depending on the focus of our lessons.) I may be able to bring a Keyboard upon request

Marching Rudimental, and Concert Percussion styles. All Percussion. Orchestral, Marimba, Vibraphone, and Marching Percussion.

Though at times his schedule can be a little cluttered, Erasmo is always willing to add another lesson to his calendar. He's an all-around great teacher and nice guy, and this really shows through the relaxed, chill environment he creates during lessons. He taught me almost everything I know about music, and I feel like I can come to him whenever I have a question about a certain technique or piece of music. Respect.

Erasmo has been my instructor and has taught me mallet percussion for the past year, and over that year I have improved unbelievably. He is an amazing instructor, very patient and helps explain so the student can fully understand. I have gotten very far within such little time thanks to him. I have become such a better musician from the time I started learning from Erasmo, and I have gotten many great opportunities to become an even better musician thanks to the instruction I have learned. I would highly recommend him for anyone of any age.
I started taking music lessons at the age of 9. It began playing in the church and then I taught lessons in my home at the age of 16. I went on to attend and graduate from Christian Heritage College (now called San Diego Christian College) with a Bachelors Degree in Music and Business. I am now the Director of the Music Department at San Diego Young Artists Music Academy. I direct two youth and children choirs, a male chorus and a great adult choir. I also sing with the Voices of Prayze who travel with Jason Mraz from time to time. As a singer, pianist and as a teacher, I specialize in Gospel
piano & vocal technique and repertoire. I also have a great deal of experience in Pop, R&B, and Classical so I am able to help students excel in these genres as well.
*** Lesson Details *** As your private teacher, I can promise you a very soulful and rewarding experience – having fun is part of my lesson plan. My goal for each student is to build confidence through knowledge and experience. I will encourage each student to reach into their spirit and bring out what is already inside of them through the type of music that brings them happiness. After 3- 6 months of lessons from me pianist will be able to know beginning concepts, play songs of their choice by ear and note read simple songs also. Singers will know beginning vocal exercises, be able to project their voice, and sing high and low notes accurately to songs according to their ability.

My daughter started piano as a beginner about a year ago with Judy. She LOVES going to her lessons and has done really well with the piano. Judy is a WONDERFUL teacher always encouraging my daughter and making learning fun! Since my mother was a piano teacher, I wanted my daughter to have strong background in theory. Judy is certainly giving her that and I am thrilled! I am very pleased!

Some former students now teach violin students of their own, I am a "Grand Teacher"! There are many more, I have lots of pictures of students from over the years.

I start using Suzuki Books, how to read music, scales, vibrato, and shifting, later adding Introducing the Positions, Sevcik , Kruetzer, etc. I love teaching children and teenagers, but some of my favorite students are Adult Beginners or Adults that are returning to violin lessons again after many years.

PLAYING THE VIOLIN IS FUN! An orchestra of my own young students played for my own wedding. I currently am teaching a set of triplets in my studio. When Los Angeles Rock DJ Dave Richards, the host of top rated 101.5 KGB-FM morning show Dave, Shelly & Chainsaw was getting married he chose my Rock String Quartet to play at his own wedding.

Bottom line is Viven Gaines is an awesome vocal coach! Her ability to make a beginning vocalist, such as myself, feel comfortable and confident, while developing my voice was impeccable. I was blessed to have her as my coach, if not for her I wouldn't have found my true voice...Allie Knows

Love Her! Truly Grateful To Have Been Her Student!
You seriously just hit the jackpot when your taken under Vivien's wing. Besides being a great singer, Vivien Lesiak is one of the most amazing vocal teachers I have ever worked with. She has always been very dedicated and very patient. Let me just say that when I was taken under her wing I was still very shy at singing in front of even one person (including her!)
Having studied with her I've managed to do things I never thought were even possible. A girl who was afraid of singing in front of even one person ends up being able to sing in front of live audiences!!! Before I met Vivien, I had NEVER done that. Besides teaching me many amazing techniques about singing, she also helped me improve the range and tone of my voice. She also watches your tongue⦠And I mean that! First thing she noticed when I started my first session with her was my tongue doing who knows what (HAHA!) She makes sure parts like your tongue and jaw are relaxed and she incorporates exercises to help release any tension one may be holding. Her singing technique also incorporates the importance of ones well-being in order to reach their full vocal potential, which is something that particularly helped me.
I have gained so much more confidence thanks to her in both my singing and just life in general. I am truly grateful for having worked with her and would definitely, without a doubt, recommend her to anyone. Her talent, skills, support, and genuine-kind-loving heart is sure to help anyone grow and reach their full potential.

I can sing with confidence!
I had always wanted to sing but was very nervous about taking singing lessons because I was afraid to sing in front of anyone. But Vivien made me feel comfortable right from our very first lesson together. She is very nurturing and really helped build my confidence as a singer while developing and strengthening my voice. Now I often sing in front of others, which I never thought I would be able to do. I highly recommend Vivien. She is a great teacher!
