About Alex
Hey, my name is Alex. I'm a multi-instrumentalist (guitar, bass, Oud, bouzouki, keyboards, voice, drums, flute, etc.), composer, performer, recording artist, arranger/orchestrator/transcriber, recording engineer/producer & music educator.

I graduated from the University of St. Thomas "Cum Laude" in 2011 with a Bachelor's Degree in Guitar Performance, with minors in Music Production & Composition. While attending St. Thomas I served as the Music Theory tutor, as well as the live sound/stage/light/recording technician for student & faculty recitals.

I have been playing professionally & teaching for over a decade. My passion for music is something that I love to share with anyone else who feels inclined to make music. My goal is to share the skills & knowledge I've acquired throughout my experiences with those willing to learn & dedic
ate themselves to the craft of making music.

I am a full-time member of Maiden Dixie (country/rock; guitar/vocals), Sumo Seven (Funk; bass/vocals), & Armadillo Tank (Prog rock; guitar/vocals). Along with my solo band, I perform for numerous pit orchestras, bands, tributes, & artists around the Twin Cities area.

In February 2019, I released my debut solo album, "Sonic Chef's Circus Absurdities".

*** Lesson Details ***
I am an experienced gigging musician in most major genres of music: classical, jazz, blues, rock, funk, folk, metal, acoustic fingerstyle/slap, instrumental rock, "shred," pop, world music, electronica, etc. & feel comfortable conveying the techniques, approaches & idioms to a student by breaking them down into digestible components, while making these new ideas relatable to material they are already familiar with.

In the end, I want the student to learn what they're most interested in learning. I'm here to answer any questions they may have & with my experiences, I feel confident that I will be able to either answer these questions or point them in the right direction. Some topics covered:

Scales/modes
Ear training
Instrument-specific techniques (ie bending, tapping, sweep picking, etc.)
Songwriting & Composition
Arranging & Orchestrating
Sight-reading
Improvisation
Chordal theory & how to read charts
Practice routines & approaches
Instrument maintenance
Instrument-based gear (guitars, amplifiers, effects, picks, slides, capos, etc.)

The student will learn at the pace they set for themselves & can only get out of it the amount of effort they put forth. I expect my students to practice on a regular basis (however brief each session may be). Consistency is key for progress to be made, & if they hold up their end of the bargain, the payoffs will be quite substantial!

*** Studio Equipment ***
Practice amplifier, tuner, music stand(s), guitar picks & cables.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I can provide guitar neck paper. I expect the students to have their own instrument & any materials they may need to achieve the goals they've set for themselves (such as a weekly notebook).

*** Specialties ***
Progressive rock, classic rock, blues, jazz, funk, disco, classical, acoustic fingerstyle/slap, flamenco guitar; music theory, sight-reading, composition, songwriting, film scoring, music production.

About Me:

I work extremely well with people of all ages and absolutely love to teach. My full time job is training employees how to use software and computers. On my luckier days, I get to share my love and passion for volleyball!

Overall, I’ve been playing for 16 years and coaching for over 8 years. I started playing in grade school onto competitively at the collegiate level. I am active in the volleyball community and now play recreationally in tournaments and leagues.

I have coaching experience with middle school, high school Junior Varsity, Varsity as well as club volleyball. I started coaching in 2011 and quickly learned that introducing this sport to a younger age group is as challenging as it is enjoyable. Working with kids truly sparks joy in my life!

Back to the serious stuff....I have my American Cross CPR, First-A
id, NFHS Concussion, NFHS Coaching certificates and I’ve attended a handful of Volleyball clinics here in WA and CA over the years. I became a member of Puget Sound USA Volleyball and recently volunteered as a volleyball coach for the USA Special Olympic Games 2018.

At the end of the day, I seek opportunities to transfer my knowledge to others and always hope to make a difference.

Lesson Details:

Before and after each activity I like taking the time to explain and answer questions because it's important for athletes to learn how to properly execute drills as well as understand the concepts behind what they are doing. A typical session will be customized to the athlete’s goals. I will provide detailed instructions, a quick demo, and then have the athlete briefly practice perfecting their form by themselves and get some repetitions in. Next, they will nail down some drills with me focusing on footwork and ball control. Last but not least, they will work with other players and perform in team environment. Before moving onto the next lesson, there will be opportunities to ask questions. Afterwards, athletes will be given extra resources such as videos, write-ups, at-home drills they can practice, and workouts/activities to try on their own time to try to target and strengthen muscles needed.

Online lessons are convenient and can be a fun and interactive way to learn from the comfort of your own home. Athletes are given the private and dedicated attention they need to improve through the use of training videos. The cost is of course lower as well - please message me for more details.

I love taking my online classes with Lindsay! Having a really busy schedule, I thought at first this was an indulgence to have a class in the comfort of my own home, however I've rethought that since I've started. These are necessary to keeping, not just my physique in shape, but my ballet up to par, as well as my mental state of being calm, focused & happy. Lindsay is very skilled at shifting each class to what is best for me that day. She's skilled & knowledgeable, proficient, professional, friendly, fun & gives me a thorough workout! Thank you Lindsay!

I have been working with Jaqueline for about 8 months now, and can say that she is a very good teacher. She will focus on your strengths and use them to help you learn. She remains flexible to schedule needs and keeps good notes on your progress and what you have learned so far as well as where you are going. I need to learn Portuguese for my work and so she was very focused on keeping my lessons moving from the very basics to ultimately technical terms and meeting conversations. I don't believe I would be productive without her help.

About Annabel
I have been coaching for 8 years now. I have coached private lessons, club teams, high school teams, and middle school teams. I developed my passion and interest for coaching when I was in college playing volleyball where we held camps and helped out coaching. With such a wide variety of coaches in my developmental stages, I became a mixture of the many different styles and methods of all the coaches that taught me to be the person and athlete that I am today. I owe all my success to them and my passion lies in wanting to share my knowledge and love for my sport to others.

I have been playing volleyball and lacrosse for 13 years. I have played at all levels from middle school, high school varsity, internationally, collegiate division one, recreationally, and on all platforms such as indoor, doubles grass, and doubles beach.I am a lefty w
hich has provided many benefits as a volleyball and lacrosse player. I have played OH, RS, S, and L which sheds some light on my knowledge of vertical training since I am only 5'2". I was a dual athlete in college and loved every minute of it! Due to injury, my career fell short which is why I preach injury prevention and studied athletic training, and physical therapy to benefit all my athletes that I have coached.

Annabel took my daughter to the next level from sitting on the bench for her freshman team to making the varisty team the next season. She went above and beyond every single meeting. My daughter loves her and always looks forward to their lessons. She has a great personality and great work ethic. Couldn't ask for a better coach.

Annabel took a lot of time and effort to correct bad habits formed by other coaches. She helped me from when I was in middle school all the way through to helping me get recruited in college. She came to my tournaments and played with me in grass leagues. She does everything in her power to make sure you gain the most out of each and every interaction with her. She has been an amazing role model for me on and off the court and I couldn't thank her enough for all that she has given me. She cares deeply for all of her clients and spends all hours of the day answering calls, texts, emails, and forming plans and strategies that work for each person. She has helped me through all aspects of time management, diet, nutrition, exercise, and even helped me pick out a dress for prom! She listened to me complain about my boyfriend, parents, and school and was like an older sister to me. I struggled obtaining the grades to go to my dream school and Annabel checked in with me everyday to make sure I was getting my work done and studying for tests and always asked if I needed any help. I was a completely lost cause when I came to Annabel and now I'm playing division 1 volleyball for my dream school. I couldn't pass, set, hit, serve, or focus on the court. I had zero court vision or volleyball IQ. I was goofy footed, wore the incorrect shoes, and didn't even think I would ever make it any further than middle school volleyball. My dreams were accomplished thanks to Annabel. I am forever grateful. Literally best instructor ever. Worth every penny and then some.

About Deana
I have been an NASM certified personal trainer since 2013 and a registered dietitian nutritionist since 2016. I have taught a wide variety of fitness classes from boot camps to weight-training, to HIIT-style cardio classes. My background is in dance, so I can also help clients increase their flexibility and core stability.

I will be designing and teaching individualized workouts online so that clients can workout in the comfort of their own homes and save time by not needing to meet at a gym! I will let you know what equipment you will need once I know what your goals are. I usually use dumbbells and maybe a stability ball, but I can also teach equipment-less workouts as well if you are looking for a more cardio-based workout or are a beginner to exercising.
My format will involve me demonstrating the exercises and then watching you
and providing tips or modifications to ensure safe and proper form. You will be given a list of the exercises learned so that you can do the exercises on your own.

If desired, we can also discuss your nutrition, however, this will take up the last 10-15 minutes of your session. I do not make meal plans, but I can certainly provide you with a food diary template and review it with you to determine how well you are eating and if any changes should be made. This added assistance may be the missing piece for you to reach your fitness goals!

About Haley
My name is Haley and I’ve been in your shoes before. Cheerleading is a different world from middle and high school cheer to competitive, all the way to the collegiate level. I’ve worked with cheerleaders from different teams and schools for 8 years; cheering since I was 6 years old competitively and for school, 4 years at the collegiate level and consulting for 3. I didn't make cheer at the collegiate level the first year at the University of Arkansas, so I know how to tackle the challenge picking yourself up and trying again. After I made the team, I served as a captain on the co-ed team while helping other girls through the tryout process my whole career. I have recently gone on to help with choreography and consulting future cheerleaders of all ages.

Each year about 50% of my clients make the team and get to have the same ex
periences I did. I have found the same questions being asked each year, so I have developed the guide to help make your audition process as successful as possible. It covers everything from cheer style, outfits, interviews, your specific look, scholarships, myths and a day of tryouts checklist. This is an absolutely incredible opportunity for you and I would love to help you in any way I can.
